CuttoothAlso in Hawaii, got mine today too. Confirmed earlier with FedEx that Smartpost packages ARE shipped to HI via barge. :(
I'll be keeping that in mind the next time I'm tempted by something on MD.
Short cable here too but using a balanced cable from Surf Cables so not a deal breaker. Disappointing nonetheless.
Currently listening with my Bifrost 4490/Valhalla v1 stack, but will be switching over to my DAC19/Liquid Carbon stack to see which setup I prefer. Thus far, I'm enjoying these quite a bit.

muggyThat's odd, I wonder why yours was shipped through DHL. Mine (and I think dropstep54) came through via FedEx/USPS.

I had ordered previous items from Massdrop and they all arrived in about 2 weeks via DHL.
This was the first drop that went through FedEx/UPS, I thought it would be faster but it's ending up taking longer. I wish there was an option to pay for upgraded shipping, USPS first class would be here in less than a week.

muggyYep, definitely agree that having an option for carriers would be nice. I'm sure it would be difficult for MD to separate the orders that way and they want to keep the total costs of the products as low as possible, so it probably won't happen. Like with Amazon Prime normally taking 7-10 days to get to Hawaii, it's just one of those trade-offs for living in Hawaii. ;)

Also got the short cable. Definitely too short for me, it doesn't reach from my desktop to sofa which are right next to each other. Were they all short or did some get the 6' length? Clamping force is a bit tighter compared to my HD598 but still comfortable enough to be wearing over the past couple of hours. Definitely feels more "sturdy" than the 598s do. I like the dark color scheme as well. Nice, subtle matte finish.
Listening through a 17" macbook pro and a HeadRoom Micro Amp. Couple of hours of listening so far, sounds really good...some amazing imaging. I'll let it play through an ipod for a couple of days and see it the sound changes any with burn-in.
Other than the short cable, it's been just a few hours but happy with them so far.
