Mines been stuck in the DHL hub at Frankfurt for 10 days without any notice. Is this normal for DHL? I'm super concerned that my parcel is lost-- should I be calling them? I have once already without much of a response.

PikaMine is somewhere in The Netherlands since the 21st.
In the meantime I've found the right trackingsite and found out I have to pay €57,17 on delivery.
That means I paid about €260,- for it, instead of €202,-. The original HD650's cost €299,-, so I'm facepalming myself right now...
If I order those HD650's right now, they will arrive at my doorstep this evening.
Lesson learned!
(And it took me 1.5 hrs to order the Massdrop-version...)

HappinessI've learned a similar lesson myself as well. It's not worth it unless it's either below a certain price so that duty and taxes are free (or close to that), or for a more expensive item it's at least half price than retail via Massdrop. In any other situation time to wait and the hussle you have to go through simply don't worth the trouble.

Quanghuy1002they can't give you a clear estimation from start because every country is different, VAT for example is different in percentage. Another example admin tax for processing the delivery at customs is also different, depending on who is handling it.

csmarinMy lesson learned is, I am not ordering from Massdrop again, unless I abso-f@#&#@-lutely cannot find a better deal and take the extra cost for granted.
Mind you: I am aware that this is on me and not on Massdrop. I figured extra cost would start around €500-€700 and did not check to be sure!
That's why I facepalm myself 😂

It tells you the extra cost and that they got notified about the parcel, but did not receive it yet for delivery to our doorstep.

Jayyzz2I guess we're just used to getting stuff same day or the next. Seems International Mail just takes a lot longer.
I returned the HD700's a few months ago and it took about 2 weeks to get to Amazon.de.
It's just a few hours driving a car.

HappinessYea, we are probably just spoiled. Its just that I started to worry for not getting an update for an week. At least the package is signed to Post NL yesterday. Lets me feel a bit more comfy. Now just wait and see how long it will take until they actually recieve it from DHL...

HappinessThank you for the link. And I've the same feeling as you. In hindsight it was not worth the limited price difference, after adding all the Taxes and additional shipping costs, to order via Massdrop. Could have better order the HD650 from a Dutch Webshop. And shipping can be much quicker. In the past I've ordered twice from Emotiva in the States and within one week I received the audio surround processors!

Peugeot205CTI"Based on our experience, the breakdown below is a rough estimate of the shipping time for different countries. Please keep in mind that shipping times can be shorter or longer depending on shipping or customs delays.
- Canada: 1-3 weeks from the shipping date - Australia, New Zealand, Germany, France, and UK: 2-4 weeks from the shipping date - Everywhere else in the world: 3-6 weeks from the shipping date"
Which means we're outsmarted by Ze Germans!
Up to 6(Six/Sechs/Zes/Yeoseos/Sei/Seis) weeks. Good exercise!
Counting the weeks sometimes months before shipping after you paid...
Still no confirmation on the whereabouts of the parcel...

Peugeot205CTIMine at 15:50 today.
Maybe delivery tommorow or on Saterday. No message yet.
Going to get some money, so someone can pay for it, while I'm at work 😂
Did not count on that: bought a very nice Fender FSR Standard Strat Satin Blaze Gold this afternoon. 😎

HappinessThe postman arrived already at 10:45 instead of the estimated 15:00 - 17:00 (at which I'm not at home...). I could only pay in cash, he had no mobile ATM.... My first impressions, while using the OPPO HA-2 mobile headphone DAC, compared to my very old Sennheiser HD 560 ovation. First of all the 6xx has much more Bass which, initially gave me the impression that the mid and highs were less "Airy" but after some listening this is not correct. I already like it much more more than a HD 700 I tested. I found the HD 700 much to bright. The clamp force on my head of the 6xx is okay for me and wear comfort is great. Two years ago I bought on-line the new OPPO PM-2 headphone and although sound was great with a much detail in the highs without being to bright the wear comfort was horrible. Very heavy and the ear cups were to small to fit across my ear (I don't that big ears) so the headphone was pressing my ears to my head. I sent it immediately back. So now continuing to listen a bit more on my day off. :) 2016 ends good for me. Indeed the cable is very short if you are not using a mobile headphone amplifier. For the time being I can re-use the cable of my old HD 560 Ovation which have the same connectors.

Peugeot205CTIThat's funny! First time I bought the HD650's I also had the Ovation! I thought the HD650's were superior, but sold them anyway. Clamping Force. A few years later bought them again (both times at about half the retailprice of €399,-) and sold them again.
Now these should be keepers, next to my other headphones. Momentum over ear 1 and 2, HD598, HD201, Audeze Sine, Fidelio X1 and some more.
So I was not really in a hurry to get these. I'm just baffled about the time it takes for such a simple job.
I like the fact these come with a short cable and 3,5 connector, because I will listen to them through a Fiio E12.
Hope I can pick them up this afternoon or tommorow. Don't see an estimated arrival on that site...

Peugeot205CTIAnd I hated the piercing highs (cymbals and snaredrums; really painfull to me) of the HD700's and, to me, they were not as comfortable as many said. That's why I sent them back (€400,- at Amazon.de at that time)

Peugeot205CTIWOW! And away goes the moaning about the slow delivery; it was worth the wait!
Clamping force is bearable.
I notice I could run it directly from my iPhone 5S, but the Fiio E12 seems to help at all aspects of the sound, more then with my other headphones.
I´m liking them a lot already!
2016 ends good for me too!
