Pretty much the best ultrawide monitor you can get for the price. There are a couple other options available with comparable quality in around the same price range but this seems to the the only one with a really nice stand. The monitor itself has been pretty good. I have no stuck or dead pixels and freesync works glitch free on my gtx 1060. With freesync disabled I can also overclock it to 119hz. The motion blur is definitely noticeable in some situations and backlight clouding can be seen in dark environments but that's the only negatives I could find.

(One minor suggestion for future revisions is to include just a dot as one of the osd crosshair options. The current ones are unusable.) ONE YEAR UPDATE!: I've had this monitor for nearly one year now and I still have no issues. I have packed it up into its box to ship to and from college four times so far and nothing's broken! The Nvidia freesync update just happened and I can confirm that freesync through a Nvidia GPU works completely fine on this monitor.

Can it do higher refresh rates at lower res? I play competitively so i need 144hz in certain games .

Excellent product for the price. I recommend against using the included displayport cable. With the included cable, every couple days I would see small white dots flickering on the screen with the occasional blackout. Haven't had these issues with a new cable.

That may be my issue good call!

Yeah I was really worried I had a bad display but when I noticed that happening it was usually fixed by reseating the cable in the monitor's port. I received mine in January and haven't had any flickering issues since I bought a new cable.

This monitor is awesome! It fits my desk perfectly, and I have had no problems with it, both in-game and just browsing! A great buy!!

very niceee! great monitor for the price! having this monitor is transformative (going from a flat smaller one to this)! friends are now officially jealous of me!! you have to use the DisplayPort though or it might not display correctly, it's really cheap to get a 15 feet one from Amazon (if it can't reach, I have a standing desk)

I ordered the Masdrop Vast, it delivered on time and in one peice. Although the included screwdriver is awefull assembly was quick and easy. My friend ordered on too, his had some glitching when activating g-sync compatable but mine worked perfectly. Overall a great build quality and very very good for the price.

I am only doing this because I neglected to give it a 2 star rating when I made my review, and since you are not allowed to edit your review and update or add a star rating, I am doing it with this one. https://www.massdrop.com/buy/massdrop-vast-curved-gaming-monitor/talk/2329774?utm_campaign=Discussion%3A%20Endorsed&utm_source=SparkPost&utm_medium=email&utm_term=Discussion%3A%20Endorsed&utm_content=1549403612982.737679031427649446140392&referer=5MEW5Z

Slight bleed on a pitch black screen but the performance is incredible. I love this monitor, and you can't beat the price.

Very satisfied with my Vast. I upgraded (kind of side-graded) my gaming rig from a GTX 1070 to a Vega 64, then I put in custom water cooling. I originally had a triple 27" monitor setup with my main monitor being a 2k 144hz GSync Display (TN Panel). When I moved I changed desks and 3 monitors would no longer fit and it would be cramped with 2 even. So I decided to go get myself an ultrawide 2k Freesync monitor that would feel comfortable spanning the desk by itself and wouldn't break the bank. After doing a lot optimizing and other such things one does while putting their setup together I honestly love my Vast. For the Cyber Monday price of $480 it could not be beat. The colors of the VA panel put my TN to shame (I had to do a lot of calibrating on that monitor to get it looking good, but even then it appeared a little too saturated). The drop from 144hz to 100hz is virtually unnoticeable to me (though still vastly better than 60hz) and the extra screen real estate is glorious. I had a few concerns when I first got it and set it up with some white bands flickering on the screen intermittently. With some good old fashioned troubleshooting I remedied that. I don't think the monitor itself was even to blame for it. If anyone else is having these issues check 2 things: Check your frame rates, if you are consistently dipping below the Freesync threshold then this is why you are seeing this, either turn freesync off or change your settings to keep your frame rates higher. The other thing I noticed that could cause it is having VSync enabled at the same time as Freesync. This however was a game by game basis so check that if you are still having the issue in particular games. PS: I know some people have had issues with the included cable, for the record I am not using the included cable simply because I needed a longer DP cable for my setup.

I purchsed this item and have had it for a few months. I find the quality of the display excellent and far superior than an LG ultrawide I had before. I have had so far no issues with the monitor and it was well packed. The stand is excellent and well made. For the price point this one of the best Ultrawide monitors in its class. I would definately recommned this item to anyone who is looking for a new monitor.

I am very unimpressed. The craftsmanship and functionality on my unit are both very poor. The frame around the panel is coming apart at the bottom. The power plug in the monitor is loose and any contact with the power cord or any adjustment of the monitor whatsoever turns the monitor off. You can feel how loose the socket is inside the monitor and I fear i will break it off whenever I reset the cable. I also have some pretty significant backlight bleed through and white spots all around the panel and in 2 places in the middle. Freesync has not ever worked regardless of multiple cables and games. I am running a Vega 64 which has no problem staying in the freesync range, but i get lots of white video static and lines through the panel whenever freesync is on. I have run multiple versions of AMD drivers, but the phenomenon is consistent, so it seems to be more related to the panel. I would take a hard pass on this. I contacted months ago and had no response. I didn't want to write a review until I saw what customer service was like, because stuff happens, but this is ridiculous. I would not recommend any massdrop manufactured item due to the customer service and difficulty getting issues resolved.

Great deal. Adjustable height and easy to put together. Some small top right flickering on screen with fullscreen in some games but fixed by using borderless window mode. Much larger than typical gaming monitor, and has higher refresh rate (100 Hz) than similarly priced monitors. Hard to beat esp if on sale!

This is a very good deal on a 34" 100Hz Ultrawide for the price. It doesn't have a few of the bells and whistles that the top end models have, but they cost twice as much. My only real gripe is that there is a significant amount of back light bleed on black screens. I got it as a present for my wife and she doesn't mind it, but it would probably bug me if it were mine to use continually.

I ordered this monitor on nov 26th 2018 and the tracking number said it was delivered on nov 30th and it never arrived Massdrop gave me a refund but since I bought it on sale I only got 480 of the 550 so because of Massdrop/ fedex messing up I have to pay the extra 70 dollars to actually get a monitor 🙄 thanks Massdrop and fedex UPDATE After having a long email conversation with one of the reps that wouldn’t give me the same cyber Monday price I had to ask for a supervisor and he only gave me 40$ credit for the new monitor. I was thankful for the $40 but because of some mishap I was still $30 down so I ended up paying $510 which isn’t bad but considering I’ve been watching the price of this thing for MONTHS I’m still kinda butthurt. UPDATE I finally got the monitor 5 weeks ago and since then I will say this is a great monitor! 1440p really the best resolution! I’ve had no issues with the included cable so far and no issues with the monitor. The only concern ld say is that the bottom bezel of the monitor gets really warm but that’s not exactly an issue so after the whole mass drop-fedex issue I will change my rating and recommend the product but also warn that massdrop and or fedex CAN be a pain. The monitor gets a 4.5 from me but customer service gets a 3.

Great quality, has problems recognizing 100 Hz over HDMI, solid black shows a fair amount of backlight bleed and the edges have a slight vignette, but those aren't really noticable in everyday use.

HDMI cannot reach 100 Hz at that resolution, you need to use Display Port.
H0neycakes
One of the HDMI ports does support it, it has a single HDMI 2.0 port. I had my monitor replaced as a minor issue cropped up while still under warranty and that port now recognises full refresh rate and resolution. You would be correct about the other 2 HDMI ports however, as they are not 2.0 ports.

Got this one during the Black Friday and it just Arrived. After getting it set up there's a single dead pixel in the lower left hand but it's only visible at certain angles/lighting conditions (ie, from below and/or against a black background.) That said I am IMPRESSED with the performance, the way it works with the RADEON VEGA FE. And I can see it being useful for what I need it to do.

Wow. I have never had a monitor with such severe backlight bleeding. It resembles a Dalmatian more than a black screen when running the test. The size is good, functionality of the monitor is good but this is rediculous. I truly wish I would have read more reviews because I would have seen the constant complaining of this issue. I contacted support & hope they get back to me. I want to replace it but I’ve seen so many people report that all their replacements were just as bad. I was going to do a review for this monitor on my YouTube channel and I really would like a better product. If the review is just as bad then it will just have to be a HUGE con in that review. That being said....if you don’t care about this issue, then the monitor seems fine for the price.

Almost makes me feel better about my own monitor's incessant problems. It seems we can't have nice things.
Nah, I’ve had multiple VA’s but this is by far the worst

So, this is my first Massdrop item I've purchased and my first experience was great. This monitor is good, not great, but good. Pros: Great size Good looking panel, colors are decent. Great price. Good stand. Overclocked mine to 119hz (just couldn't hit 120) Cons: This monitor is this price for a reason. There are some minor quality control issues that are minor, but still kinda suck. The monitor is slightly bent to the left in comparison to the stand/feet. I couldn't bend it back into place and I don't want to risk breaking the stand. I've figured to ignore it. Some flickering when turning on, I think it's either to do with the included cable or just the panel being weird. There are some in consistencies with the panels. My assumption is that this monitor is made of like 3/4 separate panels. I can see a line on my screen in certain grey colored scenarios where there's a slight calibration difference between the panel. Its only on one side of the monitor, the rest is fine. It's something I can't unsee but I can forgive it. It'd be a deal breaker if I didn't get this during the black friday sale (~$470 USD). The back-light bleed isn't horrible, but it's inconsistent. The right side of my screen has a pretty bright back-light bleed compared to the rest of the monitor and I can't unsee it either. But since I'm mostly working on this monitor and not gaming, I don't really care, but can definitely stick out if you play a lot of dark focused games. If you're really OCD about your things, this monitor is definitely not for you. If you can learn to forgive some of its flaws, then it's a monitor I can strongly recommend.

Overall it’s a good monitor that is a decent price. It does really well for a workstation that needs plenty of real estate. For gaming it isn’t too bad, but there is some blur and getting the color right takes a while. My biggest gripe is the controls, i like the simplicity of one button, but it’s too easy to hit the power accidentally. One big miss is the lack of USB ports. It should have at least two.

Expect bullshit. Its cheap but it works. Mine overheats and wont turn off or sleep if I turn off my pc after a few hours... So I need to unplug it else it has purple spazms. Upper left corner dimmer? light is stuck on. So there a bright patch there. Its not too visible but annoying. Do I love the screen? Yes. Its amazing. Rise of the Tomb Raider is incredible. 100fps is great. Though this screen does have a strange blur trail after moving objects. If you have a black outlined but empty circle on a screen on a website and scroll up and down the circle fills in and becomes elongated as it becomes just a black circle. Stuff like that .. Idk still totally worth it!
