Let me try to factually summarize this drop.
Pros: Cheapest UWQHD VA 8bit color 100hz Freesync with good response time and 100% srgb coverage with controlled ghosting effect panel and zero pixel policy on the market (if bought new)
Cons: - no reviews (yet) - panel still inferior to OLED and AH-IPS no matter how you put it - only 8bits panel, no a big deal for gaming but a big deal for any pros - unclear light bleed level, has to be better than IPS panels hopefully - no HDR, no quantum dots, no gsync, deal breaker for some fox - unclear adobe RGB and DCI-P3 coverage, important for fox that need to make a living beyond gaming - unclear if freesync range can be modified - unclear oc capability (hopefully 120hz with nvidia since similar panel can do it

PaulHentaThose are some awfully subjective "facts".
On paper, this monitor has gaming specs that are untouchable at this price point. Given the point in the monitor's development (pre-production), there are also some unknowns that need to be weighed for anyone thinking about purchasing one.
You're correct that it does not have specs that are comparable to monitors that cost 3x+ the price of this one. If you believe that not having OLED/HDR/quantum dots/etc. in a $550 monitor is truly a negative then I don't really know what to tell you other than maybe time to slow down with whatever you are smoking.

jloopy212I think that that is exactly what I wrote in the pros! i.e. Cheapest for the specs.
nevertheless some missing features and shadow zones in the specs could deter some buyers based on their personal wish lists.
does that make this a bad monitor? No It simply does not make an ubiquitous choice.

PaulHentaFair enough, your comment just makes it seem like there are actual negatives (which, as you said, there are none on paper) rather than just a list of dream specs that don't really exist.
Nothing wrong with wishing for things, but formatting your wish list as a "Factual Pro/Con" when it is anything but is pretty deceptive.

PaulHentaAre you meaning to say 'fox' or 'folks'?

Omega2k3Apparently, I meant to say what’s my native language autocorrect wanted to write... lol. You got the gist of the comment despite that hopefully
