We've seen lots of interest in the Massdrop VAST monitor and very high quality discussion. Reading through the community's comments, we see a lot of people on the fence with this purchase, which is completely understandable. It's an expensive piece of technology that doesn't have any independent information/reviews yet.
Due to some logistics delays, our review units arrived two weeks later than expected and have just been sent out to various youtube reviewers. They're scrambling to find time in their schedules to test out the monitor and film their impressions. We expect a handful of videos to go live in the first half of October, which is why we have extended the drop to October 19th.
In addition, we've been working behind the scenes with the manufacturer to reserve factory time for our production run. Luckily, the delay to October 19th will not change the expected ship date for the monitors.
We'll make sure to post any review videos to the discussion and description pages as soon as they go live.

Bottom line is that Massdrop isn't a logistics company with robust local shipping capabilities in every single country. The shipping is basically at-cost cash-on-cash and the reality is they are taking a paper loss on every international unit shipped out.
It may still be too rich for your blood, but the costs are a function of the business model and the fact that it's very costly to ship big boxes in tiny quantities internationally.
