RB10Yes, you're gonna have to ask Will about this but I speculate the monitors will be getting manufactured in December. It could be later than January too if things get delayed but I think they gave themselves a good buffer with this time frame.
RB10Hah, I don't think ordering sooner than later will have any effect on order shipments. Time on the manufacturing line was reserved in advance for this and the whole batch will be made and shipped in one go. I could be wrong though. Will may have more information on that. Even if they ship as they build, I don't think there'll be much of a difference between the shipment times for the monitors. I think the whole point of this drop is that it will be done in bulk in one go so it ends up being cheaper. So the manufacturer may hold on to all the monitors they make and finish the lot before they ship them at once so it can ship for lower per item.
CharlieMason@CharlieMason I think you're in the ballpark, but they're probably queued for November, not December. Complete guess but a different cost savings process would be to ship these by ...ship. Which takes a month or more to get across the world.
Snuffles324That might be so, but I think one of the problems they have is that they don't have local distributors, so they have to ship the stuff out via shippers directly from manufacturer to customer. Since the customers are all over the world, shipping it via a ship is impractical.
CharlieMasonI Think the vast majority of people are in the states. And massdrops warehouse is in the states, based on what i'v read from the past I think they're going to receive a bulk shipment (probably from a ship) at they're warehouse then from there they'll ship them individually via postal services (which is why shipping anywhere else costs $170)
