Oh, man. It's going to be $600 when it comes back? That's a bummer. That $550 price tag was the one and only reason I was going to hold out for this monitor. And with Black Friday/Cyber Monday being this month I can probably get a pretty good deal on the Samsung ultrawide. I see that Massdrop has it for $700 but that drop ends tomorrow and I need a couple weeks. Just my luck.

Wolfbreadhey man, same situation here.
I think the one advantage that the Vast35 has is that a slightly cheaper price and potential to overclock the refresh rater beyond 100hz at lower resolutions (think rocket league 2560x1080 @144hz) (but battlefield or Destiny at 3440x1440@100hz).
The advantage of the Samsung will be the 125% sRGB coverage (a little bit HDR) so very vibrant and clear colors thanks to the quantum dot.
I think the Vast 35 is the better buy at this point but it depends when it comes back. If it takes months to see this again, i'll have to move on to something else.
