Massdrop Vast 35-Inch Curved Gaming Monitor

wondering if anybody can help me figure this out. I currently have two AOC 27” 1920x1080 monitors that I run with my RX-480. I really want to get the Vast and still run all three (hopefully the two AOCs above the Vast which will sit on my desk for gaming and editing). My question is whether I can run all three with the Vast keeping its 1440p resolution (with the knowledge that dragging applications between all three will lead to... interesting scaling). I also want to know if I can run games like Fortnite (who isn’t?) on the Vast using my RX-480 and still get a steady 70 plus frames (I get about a steady 130 FPS currently). Any help would be highly appreciated and I’m sure the massdrop community Is the right place to ask.

ImaginaryYou should be able to keep the resolution and drag applications to the other monitors, I have used the vast with a 1080p display and it works fine. As far as 70fps on Fortnite, I'd have to check as I do not play that game often and I have an overclocked rx 470 so the performance should be similar, but as long as you lower the detail setting I do not see why you couldn't get 70fps.

SPARTAN1147789Thank you so much for the help. I am also looking at getting a used Samsung 49” curved QLED monitor (the LC49HG90DMNXZA for $840 on Amazon). It is very similar to the Vast, but the problem, if you can even call it that, is that it’s not 1440p, so I know this isn’t really the place for it, but since everybody here is so nice, any thoughts?

ImaginaryIt has less pixels than this monitor (3840*1080 = 4147200 vs 3440*1440 = 4953600 ), so it should run your games fine and you shouldn't have any issues connecting multiple screens. As far as performance goes, I play titanfall 2 primarily and can run an average of 90 fps with a minimum of 60 fps on this monitor (Vast) at high settings with ambient occlusion disabled. Don't know if that answer's your question, but short answer is that the rx480 will work, just you might want to upgrade somewhere down the line.

ImaginaryStill the Vast, since it has a higher pixel density of 106 pixels per an inch vs 81 pixels per an inch, and given the current state of HDR on the PC I do not see a need for that feature. Also, I can fit the Vast on my desk and I'm not sure I could say the same about the Samsung CHG90.

SPARTAN1147789I had a monitor similar to this Vast, and now I have the 49 inch Samsung. I love the samsung for gaming, but it is MASSIVE. HDR is broken on Windows (have spent hours trying to fix, turning it on results in the opposite of what HDR should do, everything looks very dim and washed out). But even w/out the HDR working, the Samsung has amazing color. I have the samsung at least 6 inches farther away from me, and it "feels" a bit more immersive than the 35 I used to have. I prefer the 3440 x 1440 ratio and density for work though, 1080 tall feels restrictive.
