Hello Everyone! We are very excited to bring you an extension of our Veil Wind Collection, the Veil Wind Pant. Using the same fabric and manufacturer as the Veil Wind Jacket, these pants come in at 3 ounces and pack down into a small pocket attached to the inside of the waist -- perfect for travel. The waist is cinched using a drawcord. The pant legs are zippered and feature an elastic cinch you can pull around to prevent the wind from getting in. Why you should use our wind shell/pant kit: 1. Fabric: We’ve developed this proprietary fabric specifically with improved breathability as compared to other wind jackets and pants on the market. Our mill partner develops fabrics for Patagonia and The North Face and is the leading nylon mill for technical apparel. We worked with them for 6 months to develop a windproof fabric with the right amount of added breathability for high-output use. We also added an anti-bacterial coating for odor prevention on those multi-day hikes. 2. Performance-to-Price: We made sure to include the right amount of performance where it mattered in the material and the details. Because we work directly with our factories, we are able to pass along the savings to you. Whereas comparable products in the market start at $100, our wind veil pant is available to you at $59.99 3. Fit: These pants are considered a slim fit, but they will go over close-to-skin base layers if needed. We referenced the best-selling fits in this product category to bring you a unique fit that is easy for everyone to wear. Since this is a unisex item, be sure to reference the size chart and ask away if you are unsure about your size. And, if you haven’t already picked up the jacket, you can do so now with 2-day shipping! https://www.massdrop.com/buy/massdrop-veil-wind-shell#overview Thanks! Kim

kim.suarezI really like the that these are midnight blue (rather than the ubiquitous black, and that they're tapered, which is helpful on a bike. I just bought some new wind pants last year, but these are tempting... A light gray pair would be awesome for increased visibility when running or jogging. What I need more than wind pants is a pair of lightweight waterproof pants that were fairly full up top but tapered below the knee, with pretty large zipper going from hem to knees. My old Moonstone Gortex Packlite pants have a wide, straight cut, that isn't great on a bike.

kim.suarezAlso, these pants look great paired with the white/stone jacket. Can't wait for a Massdrop windbreaker with a similar color (but no hood, for urban bike commutes) I'd also love a slightly heavier, stretchy version, like the Schoeller fabric that Search and State uses for their well-liked S1-J jackets. Love the color "sandstone" that they have, and that they used two-way zippers for ventilation. I bought one a few years ago, but the cut was bad imo: arms too narrow and neck too wide. It was a bit too bike-specific too with the extended back hem and pocket configuration. Great for a serious cyclist, but too much for commuters Imo. Sugoi's zap run jackets have the best cut I've seen for athletic jackets.
emptymLove this! Really appreciate the suggestion and we're always looking for new ideas from the community! Thanks for sharing!
emptymAnother great idea! We've definitely been looking into the cycling space and are always looking to combine technical outdoor with urban functionality. We've been working with Schoeller lately, so glad to hear we could be on the right track. :)
