So these are open headphones, i've never owned a pair before, wondering how much sound people nearby would hear when wearing them, at a reasonable volume, in an office? That's the only place I really get time to listen to music these days.
Axman6Depends on your mates and how noisy is the background in your office. If it's too noisy, you won't be able to enjoy your music too well, but if it's really quiet, then everyone around you will hear what you're listening. It's like a phone's volume turned down to a bit less than half.
nRaduThanks for the reply, this I really helpful (though a little disappointing - not that there's anything wrong with these, just they might not be suitable for me despite me coveting them so much)
Axman6Just get a closed pair of headphones. There's a great variety of closed-back headphones to choose from. Or even semi-open headphones may be an option for you, like the T50RPs.
nRaduI currently have a pair of ATH-M50‘s which I like a lot but they're too tight and the "leather" is falling to pieces, so based on the comments recommending these for people with larger heads, they seemed ideal. I'm still very tempted by these (I love the look, an area the T50RPs seem to be sorely lacking, despite the irrelevance to their intended purpose). Do you have any other recommendations for some great headphones, which might be suitable in an office?
Axman6It really depends on your budget and on your music preferences. If you really really love these headphones, pull the trigger. Maybe if you want you can talk with your mates first and ask them if they're okay with getting to hear a tiny bit of your music, but other than that all i can say is look for closed-back headphones. If you want something around that $200 range have a look on this subreddit, it's really really helpful: https://www.reddit.com/r/Zeos/
Axman6Akg k553 is really good, audio technica a900x, msr7, beyerdynamic dt250, dt770, sennheiser momentum over ear, Sony mdr1a depends on what you are looking for in a headphone though
bravomailYa breaking ma balls man, breakin ma balls! :'(
I may still get some (possibly not from MD though, looks like they're cheaper elsewhere, just not red), I'd like some comfortable headphones when when I don't have to use my M50's.
