As opposed to poor hungover Slovakian workers? (no offense intended)
Almost everything electronic has components made in China. Just the way it is. Many components are ONLY made in China and cannot be sourced elsewhere. One can design, build and manufacture in the U.S but it will likely be with 50-75% parts from China. Large companies are now transferring proper manufacture practices and station direct oversight of product, so things are different than 20 years ago. Certain regions are dedicated to specific types of industry. Made in China doesn't bother many Apple users.
So why are you boycotting?

SagaciousThere was a time when almost everything electronic was made in Japan. Domo arigato, Mr. Roboto.

ExeticYeah but they were plastic even when they were coming out of Austria. Still, I heard a few stories that some of the sets had components that weren't soldered right out of the last batch, but overwhelmingly good. If mine doesn't work, I'll just talk to Massdrop about a refund, no skin off my nose.

SagaciousPretty Sure almost every country has laws regulating what can be marked as "Made in". For instance, 70% of the parts must be sourced from the USA to be labeled as being made in USA. I do not know Austria's laws, but I imagine it's even more strict. Plus they are wealthy, not-even-Slavish nation.
My uncle owns a stove factory in Serbia and their workers are far from overworked and underpaid in the same way almost every Chinese factory does. You must not have seen many factory interiors. I doubt Austria has anti-suicide nets to prevent jumpers.
SagaciousThis sentiment will only increase as China's relative power in the world increases and becomes more competitive with American industries less affected by China. Some people would rather see a white person in factory videos. It is what it is.
