These are made in China compared to the k702 which is made in Germany right? The k702 is only $208 on Amazon, would it be worth picking up over these?

crannonAKG production has mostly moved to China. At that price, I'd have to imagine the one you're looking at is also made in China.
The AKG K702 65th Anniversary Edition is the one manufactured in Austria.
Edit: Not knocking on the K7XX though, heard a lot of good things about it.

WaahThe amazon answers section seems like a mixed bag. Lots of people saying the headphones say Made in Austria on them and a few saying theirs were from China.

KedgieHave to take into consideration when said reviews were posted. I'd go with the guarantee and get annies if "made in Austria" is what they want.

WaahEven the K712 are not really made in Austria. It's assembled in Slovenia or something. Forget about properly Austrian-made AKGs. Those days are gone. Chinese labor improved vastly and if you get a bad apple (which can happen every now and then), just get a replacement.
