Okay, I'm looking into different pads for these, as the vinal pads on there are what personally make these uncomfortable and difficult to use. As such, does anyone have any reccomendations? Also, I'd apprechite if someone can tell me how pleather/velour/hybrid pads each effect the sound signiture. For those who will say to get a different cable, I already have a cable on order from Mimic Cables (I opted for the OCC Silver upgrade, and furutech connectors).

BluJay614I bought a pair of Compete Audio pads for a pair of DT770's on Amazon. Nothing special. No memory foam, velour-ish. They were $6-7 though and feel great. I bought another set when I started having problems with the pads making these too hot to wear in Texas heat. They fit the M220 perfectly and have made them a lot more comfortable. Minimal impact on sound signature...but I'm not sure I'd want to pay $30 or even $20 for pads for a $50 pair of headphones.

BluJay614Not trying to be rude, but these aren't really worth pad rolling. Half decent pads would be like, 75% of the price of these headphones. Better to save that money and get better headphones, like the HD 58X.

BradumI'm planning to get a pair of HD 58X and the 99 Noir at some point, but I would like to increase the comfort of these, if not add a little more low end. Besides, I'd be looking at 50-60% (Brainwaves round pu leather or hybrids) not 75%. Granted, that's still quite a bit on the scale of things, but for increasing comfort, and possibly getting some of the low end that these lack...

BluJay614I just doubt you'll have a reason to put these back on once you get the 58X.

BradumI have six pairs of headphones. The ones I grab almost every time are the HE4XX. I haven't touched my DT 990 Pro or HE350 in weeks, and they used to be what I grabbed every time. I hardly use the HD 559, or K550 MKIII. Every so often, I do like to change it up and listen to something a little different, even if it's the same music, just out of something with a different sound signiture. The biggest reason I don't use the M220 Pro is the pads. If I can fix that, then I'm going to.
