Massdrop x Alex Cavalli Liquid Carbon X VS Audio-GD NFB-11.28.
Which of the two will have the best result for headphones like HD650, HE-4XX, M1060, DT-880/600ohms?
I wonder.
If anyone could share an opinion about this I will be grateful.
thanks.
mattrisIt's a fair enough assumption though seeing as it almost identical to the proper one in a different form factor. There have been plenty of reviews of the real one
KininmonthTo say "This is the best headphone amplifier under 1000 USD" without having heard it is absurd. And what to you mean by "best"? Are you referring to its looks, sound, features, overall value... a combination of those attributes?
Based on the sound alone, many amps under $1000 will best the Liquid Carbon in resolution and bass solidity - namely the Audio-gd NFB-28.38, which includes a full-featured DAC/balanced ins/outs, remote control, etc. And I'd would bet that the ~$500 iFi Micro iDSD Black Label portable DAC/amp has noticeably clearer sound.
I'm sure that the Liquid Carbon X will offer excellent performance - at least for casual enjoyment - for its modest price. A better-formed opinion would be to say "This is the best desktop amp under $300".
