Made in collaboration with Carmina, a fourth-generation shoemaker in Mallorca, Spain, this oxford is an exceptional value in the world of dress shoes. It features the company’s sought-after semi-brogue pattern on a hand-cut calfskin leather upper from France’s famous Tannerie D’Annonay. For a longer-lasting, better-wearing shoe, we chose a sole from Joh. Rendenbach Jr.: a German manufacturer whose oak bark–tanned soles have been a hallmark of the finest footwear since 1871. This oxford is built on Carmina's Rain last, a versatile, natural-fitting last with a subtly squared-off toe. A great pairing for formal outfits, it has enough detail to work well in more casual settings, too.
Note: At checkout, you’ll have your choice of color: black (negro) or brown (marron). Full and half sizes are available from US men’s 6 to 14 and widths C, D, and E. See size guide further down this page for more details.
Family owned and operated since 1866, Carmina has a long tradition of skilled craftsmanship and attention to detail. Each pair of this collaboration shoe has a leather midsole, a dovetail heel, and reinforcements at the toe and heel. The Goodyear welt allows the shoes to be resoled time and time again, while the channeled and beveled Rendenbach sole is supremely comfortable—so you can feel every bit as good as you look. And to keep your shoes in top condition, every order includes a pair of Carmina’s red velvet dust bags and sized shoe trees. Designed to help maintain shape, prevent creasing, and promote longevity, the shoe trees also wick moisture (and with it, odor) away from the leather. Made from beechwood, they’re fitted with knobs for easy removal.

"... Carmina still offers some of the very best shoes for the price—even at $450 for calf. Their last shapes, leather quality, and finishing is superb!" - Mr Clemson, StyleForum Senior member
"Short and skinny, these shoes should likely be incredible, especially if oxfords are your style, you value comfort and quality." - StainlessOnly, Massdrop community member
Length: The sizing options are US standard lengths. The Rain last (and thus this shoe) fits true to size. See the detailed information on the sizing chart below.
Width: Because widths are less of an accepted standard according to Carmina, we have worked closely to determine the appropriate representation of the widths available. There are three widths at checkout, narrow, standard, and wide. For US customers, this translates to C, D, and E, and that is how they are listed on the checkout page. For Carmina, a US D is their EE, and all samples made were US (D), Carmina EE. The takeaway is, order the C if you fit a C, the D if you fit a D, and the E if you fit an E. If you’re an EE or an EEE width in American brands, this drop unfortunately isn’t for you. Each additional width level adds 3.18mm to the width of the shoe at its widest point.
