How many stakes are needed? Also- as a 6’2” person, it would be great if makers would show a picture of someone inside on top of a sleeping pad. I think you solved some design flaws of other similar shelters but you left out a better representation of space and room inside (including head to slope of wall). I‘m excited for you and it’s at a great price point for the UL category.
Bones1973Thanks Bones. With 4 stakes (one at each corner) the tent is reasonable robust and you could pitch it like this 90% of the time. I like to add one more tiny ti stakes at the door to hold the small side from flapping, but it's not necessary for the structure of it. In harsh weather, add two more stakes to stake out the peak guylines. It's very strong like this, assuming you pull the peaks out at a logical angle.
It's is difficult to show the space inside a shelter. I added a photo above in a response to someone else that shows the inside. But the diagram on the main listing page does probably the best job of showing the slopes of the inner walls. What else would you like to see? Here is a side view of the inner properly scaled:
