I personally dont like to carry more than one walking stick, and was curious what the height of the pole is needed to be? And do you have suggestions for non trekpoles to keep it up and tight?
Never purchased a tent before, always been diy tarps, but the engineering from efficient setup, to livable space, materials and angles, along with all the praise read throughout the internet, this is a clear winner for everyone who is tired of rolling on the floor getting their bivy measurements and sleeping in a stuffy sock, or sprawling and pinning fabric across a room to achieve a usable tarp. Will be available and delivered just in time for rainy pnw fall. Good work!

russ311The tent pitches with poles in the 46 - 46.5" range (116 - 118 cm). The actual pole height needed varies slightly depending on a few factors (unevenness of the ground, how far out the corner stakes are from the tent body). So the best fixing length trekking poles to have are 120cm poles (47") as you can always use these, and just put them on a slight angle to take up the extra length.
You can also buy fixed length poles from a variety of companies to use with trekking pole supported shelter if you don't use two poles. For example, you can get nice carbon ones at whatever length you want from Ruta Locura: http://www.rutalocura.com/Tent_Poles.html
I'd get one of these at 118 - 120cm.
