Very cool looking design! Starting an outfitter business so I’m seriously tempted to pull the trigger on this. My Six Moon Designs Lunar Solo has almost double the floor space and is a couple ounces lighter, but if I didn’t get that SMD shelter last year I’d be all over this for my personal shelter. Unique design with the double wall. That’s one huge advantage this has over the Lunar Solo (or most all single wall shelters); the condensation. So tempting ...

gnarledcouleeThanks for the kind words. The specs on this are a bit conservative. The inner floor is 28-29" x 87", which is really 17.2 sq feet, not 16.2. But still, the Lunar Solo certainly has much floor area still (26 sq feet for the 2018 version). On the flip side, the X-Mid has radically more vestibule area (~25 sq feet vs 8) so it's easy to have your pack in the vestibule and your shoes and still be cooking in there. Or put a dog in one vestibule and your gear in the other. Or wet packrafting gear in one vestibule and regular stuff in the other. Or cook on one side and get in/out on the other etc. Dual vestibules is great for views, ventilation and access.
As you say, the double wall is a big advantage. I think it's impressive that these tents are so close in weight despite the -Mid being a full double wall, with two doors, two vestibules and quite a bit more headroom. It speaks to the efficient geometry of the X-Mid. Once you've seam sealed the 26oz Lunar Solo it would likely be 27oz (vs 27.9oz for the X-Mid)
