How does the inner attach to the fly?
LiljThere are connections at the two peaks and four corners.
The two peaks of the inner connect to the peaks of the fly using small high quality buckles (ITW brand). These buckles are on grosgrain so you can adjust the tension.
The four corners of the inner clip to the four corners of the fly. For this mitten clips are used because they are lighter than buckles and 4 more buckles would add up in weight. So there is a loop of shockcord at the corners of the inner to add tension, then a length of 2.5mm cord, then a mitten clip which clips to D rings (or grosgrain) inside the corners of the fly. You can snip the D rings and just clip to the grosgrain if you want to save a few grams.
