Hi Dan, has the third drop happened yet and did I miss it? I was wondering how far the rain fly comes down to the ground and is it adjustable? I've had some unfortunate experiences with splashback over the years, so that I'm gravitating towards partial solid inners as Tarptent make for many models. Not necessary here?

The rain fly extends right to the ground - unlike a lot of tents - so it protects from rain splash.
If you want to lift it up a few inches you can by extending the cord at the four corners when you pitch it. With the cords short it pitches right to the ground, whereas with the cords extended it lifts up a few inches. Easy to adjust via LineLoc3s.
A solid inner isn’t necessary for rain splashing. It would be handy in sandstorms, blowing snow and really cold conditions, but more stuffy in hot conditions. Overall I think mesh is better for 3 season use for almost everyone. I like solid in the winter.

SaintRickHey Dan, I went ahead and joined the drop, despite the fact the tent won't be ready for an April start on the CDT. I scoured the comments for a total weight including the titanium stakes but couldn't find one. Do you rate the stakes supplied? I suppose you must, but there's always an upgrade. Looks like a great product..

Thanks for the support on the project - I think you'll really be impressed with it.
The tent does include stakes. It's a hard decision to make because you really need different stakes for different conditions. I decided to include 8 titanium hook stakes. They are 8g each with red heads, so very similar to these.
Those will work great in firmer soil but you'll want something with a bit more holding power for the four corners in softer soil. You'll certainly encounter some of that on the CDT, so I'd recommend adding 4 stakes like MSR Groundhogs and then if you're on soft soil just use these for less important staking points (e.g. the side of the door).
