As a woman hiker does it have room to change clothes etc. In it ? it seems to be really small on the inside in the pictures and diagrams.

SunnyGramHi Sunny, Yes it has quite a bit of room inside. There is substantially more room to move around that the typical UL solo shelter because the dual pole design provides a lot more space than mainstream UL tents that tend to be tiny (e.g. MSR Carbon Reflex, Big Agnes Fly Creek UL1) and other trekking pole supported tents that often use one pole. I suppose if you're comparing it to a car camping tent then it is small, but it's quite spacious for a UL tent and no problem to get changed. I'm 6'0" and I can easily get changed in it.

SunnyGramFor comparison, a really small 1P tent is something like the MSR Carbon Reflex 1. That tent has a single high point of 34", whereas the X-Mid inner has two 43" high peaks. And even then, it would be possible to get changed in there.
