I have bought many knives from Drop but recently just about every one come with a right-handed only clip and I am left-handed. I am tired of wasting my time reading about three or four new knives that look interesting and then learning that I can't use anyone of them. Why is it so damn difficult to make a knife with a reversible clip? I am just about ready to give up on Drop for knives.

Maybe the soon to be quiet carry will have it...
I checked out the website from a quick googling and it doesnt say it does. So I would be surprised if it did support the left handed carry.

bartgIt isn't difficult, it just costs money. That's why most people don't do it -- they aren't trying to make good knives to sell first and foremost, they're trying to make something to sell for a good profit first and foremost, and knives are just what they decided to make. They're more interested in hitting their target earnings than they are in making sure lefties or other people who want a slightly different knife (like me) are happy. It's a money making proposition.
This is to say, I hear you and I think everyone who makes knives should either offer a left handed stock version or make their knives reversibly clippable. But the powers that be largely ignore what ppl like me have to say. :)

Overly excited, purchasing for a daily edc, loved the rosewood handles, wished it came with Satin Blade option... also loved the Carbon Fiber, but if it had the PVD-Coated parts.... Ordered both, will swap them parts out when I receive. 100 bucks base, not too bad upsale on the Rosewood and Carbon Fiber. Materials used in this production knife are worth the price in my opinion. Can't wait to beat this thing up.

Very easy! Just make sure you back out the screws gently, place them in a method that assists in the reassembly. Both of my knives had factory cross threading on both the clip screws and pivot screws. So just be gentle removing the screws and don't force anything! Best of luck!

yes, drop.dom, i'm still interested in this item that for some obscure reason, probably incompetence, you're not shipping to my country (where it's perfectly legal)...
by the time you'll be shipping it, probably 8-10 years at the earliest at this rate, i won't be interested...

Pretty sure they changed this a few years ago.

"The single handed opening knives which were controlled were knives that have a blade folded or recessed into the handle which is capable of being opened by gravity, inertia or centrifugal force. These knives will no longer be controlled goods and may be imported into Australia without permission. The possession of such knives will still be subject to the relevant laws of the States and Territories.
The purpose of this amendment is to reduce confusion for industry and individuals. These knives have previously caused confusion amongst these groups as to whether they were controlled goods or not. This was because similar knives that can be deployed rapidly, but without being opened by gravity, inertia or centrifugal force, are not controlled on importation.
The amendment will allow importers to import single handed opening knives that can be opened by gravity, inertia or centrifugal force. These knives have many legitimate uses, including for use in outdoor recreational activities such as camping, mountaineering and hiking.
The controls on knives such as automatic, assisted opening and butterfly knives will remain under the PI Regulations."
I've not had any issues importing flippers.

Again, why can’t they fix that pocket clip? Nobody wants a third of a knife poking up from their pocket! Come on! It’s a cool design but you have to make adjustments. If anyone is fine with this clip then go for it but this again, a dealbreaker for me.

When the price went from $140 to $100, I didn't even think about it being a Black Friday thing (since it was well before Black Friday when I first saw it), but now I see it went back to $140. I can't imagine a knife with the features and materials that this one has not being worth $100 bucks, so I jumped on it at that price. I haven't gotten it yet, but even if the complaints about the too-high pocket clip and its sharp-edged screws is 100 times worse than anyone has complained about, both seem an easy fix to me. Round-headed screws are exceedingly easy to find, and cutting the stand-off to half (or maybe less) of its length will bring the clip down to a normal height. The knife will still stick out of the pocket more than most of us would prefer, but as long as the clip has enough spring-tension on it, it should stay in place well enough. Even if I needed to take the stand-offs to a machine shop for precision cuts, I can't imagine that being so expensive that it would put the knife outside of the range of its realistic value.
I'm anxious to play with the button lock and learn how to consistently open and close it without cutting myself. Everyone, including myself, already knows the value of CPMSV35 blade steel. The scales are a little weird. Looks like they could manifest hot-spots here or there, but sandpaper can modify G-10 with just a few strokes, so really, what else is there to complain about? I routinely modify my knives to make them "my own" anyway (see picture of Becker BK2 Campanion below).

BlueTomWelp, got mine today. In case anyone was wondering there are no sharp or hot-spot-inducing corners on the G-10 scales. Pictures are deceiving in that regard.
My example did come with the squared-off screws that hold the clip on. While the clip feels bulky in the hand, I couldn't grip it tight enough to feel like I was getting ready to cut my hand. Really, I don't feel any sharpness when I'm gripping it at all, just bulkiness. I will eventually replace the screws with rounded-off heads, probably shoot for Ti with blue anodizing, but I don't expect to feel a major difference in grip comfort from just doing that little mod. I may try to find a machinist who can replace the stand-off shanks with shorter ones, bringing the top of the clip down close to the scales to make it look more "normal," but as-is, the clip holds the knife in place in the pocket like a vice-grip. I wore it all day today while out and about and while riding my motorcycle. The knife didn't budge, and I would expect it to be held even tighter if the angle of the clip is cut down close to flat against the scale.
This is my first WE knife, my first ball bearing pivot knife, my first decent quality knife made in China, and my first non-auto-opening button-lock. The build seems very stout. Swing the blade open and it locks up with a solid "caarrack!" No play at all at the pivot (or anywhere else for that matter). The motions for opening and closing will take some getting used to before I can do it without thinking about it, but back in the day, both my first liner and frame locked knives required practice too.
I get the complaints that were predicted to manifest with this knife, but after spending a day with it, I really don't think they will. I'll keep folks posted if using the knife actually causes any of 'em to be felt, but if you don't hear back from me here, well, no news is good news. So far I'm stoked with this purchase. Also stoked I got it for the $40 bucks off Black Friday special price. That's all for now....

I've bought the rosewood version, would actually love to TRADE for a version with satin blade if anyone is up for it. if you have the carbon fiber version I'm willing to pay you the 50*$ difference if the knife is not too beat up.
Mine is NIB and never used. I'm too scared to carry it because I don't want to damage the black coating.

WE, S35VN, great scales.I feel like I should want this knife, but it looks like it would be way too uncomfortable in hand. If my car hadn't just died because of another's illegal left turn in front of me, I might have sprung for this. Affluency has its issues. The button lock comments also gives me pause.
