Three issues why I don't care for it. 1. The rear tang of the blade sticks out in the closed position and has sharp shoulders. Most folding knives recess it in the handle in the closed position. Why? because that protruding sharp-cornered edge is going to wear a hole in your pocket in very short order. 2. Thumb studs that provide no purpose. 3. A way too proud standing pocket clip. When holding the knife, that thing is going to be digging into your palm. Also likely to get bent or damaged walking to close to things (like door jambs) and catching on it, since it's on thin standoffs and not flush against the handle to distribute the force. All the strength is dependent on the head "and" shaft strength of tiny screws. Basically if it catches on something, instead of bending the actual flexible part of a of a pocket clip, it's likely to bend or break the screws/standoffs which is not flexible and wont snap back like a regular pocket clip.

AdamantinepiggyWhat about this knife, the description, or the designer would give you the idea that this knife is an everyday carry? I get the complaints if this knife is being sold by benchmade or Kershaw, but this is a knife designer, not a knife manufacturer.
I don’t think the purpose of this blade is to be a workhorse or ergonomic. There are plenty of $30- $75 knives that will last you a very long time and have all those things, some of which are sold on this website. The value in this knife lies in the appreciation of its design, manufacturing, and uniqueness.

Mgrogers09" What about this knife, the description, or the designer would give you the idea that this knife is an everyday carry? "
The price and actual likely quality relative to it and the fact that it seems the majority of people on Massdrop, like "useful" and quality gadgets; whether it be knives or other. I'm sure it's a decent knife, but is it significantly better in quality or workmanship regards to any other Chinese knife in this price range with the same bill of materials? Is the grind or finish of the knife blade particularly different/difficult? Is the lock better/stronger than any other? Is the customer service better than any other in this price range? Is the name brand well known with any resale value?
At the end of the day, it's still a mass produced Chinese knife. Nothing really special that makes it special beyond its utility, looks, and quality for the "price".
I'm not denigrating the knife, but pointing out that it has design flaws for practical people who actually carry their knives everyday. Doesn't mean the knife is a piece of crap or anything, just has design flaws for a particular purpose. If you're going to put this $130 knife in a safe, maybe show it off a little, then grant it to your grandchild when you die someday, then it's absolutely fine as is. If you're going to carry and use it, then those not-good-for-everyday-carry design flaws should be pointed out to people who might be so inclined to buy it for that purpose.
BTW, my EDC knife is a simple lightweight translucent blue Spyderco Manix2 or a Bestetch Lion in D2 so i have nothing against Chinese knives being in my pocket.
Here an example knife i made with EDC in my mind that I made for a friend long ago. It is practical in that it has no sharp protrusions when folded to wear out your clothes, the clip is sturdy, there's no weird scale shape/pattern to get hot spots on, and I was told it looked nice too. Yes the spiral filed solid brass spacer made it heavy, but it contrasted so well with the hand filed patterns on the liners.
