Super value at this price. Own the E-MU Walnut version & similar but dc'd Panasonic RP-HX650-K biocellulose. At this price with wood cups, it is real close price to CAL! cans with plastic earcups. Reviews (SBAF, InnerFidelity) report sound very close, yet subtly fine differences to Walnut. Interesting seeing the measurements of both on InnerFidelity with relation to the 2 woods respective minute sonic differences.

luvmusikWhat are the dimension specs of the ear pads for your e-mu walnut? For both inner and out. Looking to get replacements. The pleather is a no go overall for me.

ViraGot good measurements for you Vira from my Walnut E-MU. The wood cups have a uniform oblong shape, but keep in mind the pads are evident from the inside hole to be an slight inverted "pear" (fruit) shape. Pads are slightly wider toward top and a bit narrower on bottom.
So, visualizing them on your head - pad size is :
Outside 3 and 3/8" top (of ear) to bottom (of ear) and 3" front to back at widest point.
Inside hole 2 and 1/8" top (of ear) to bottom (of ear) and 1 and 1/2" front to back at widest point.
The earpad thickness is 3/4" thick against your ear to the cup and also 3/4" the other dimension - from inside hole across to outside.
Not sure if Purpleheart pads are identical, but most likely - look at MassDrop fotos in description & you can see the shape of the backing plates (inverted pear shape) just above the "About the Designer" text.
