Hello, before joining the drop in the last hours I would like to know if the center baffle fill issue has been resolved ? As I live outside of the USA, it would add complications to send the quilt back to get it fixed... Also, I wanted to know if anyone could tell me how much I could compact this quilt as I intend to do some bikepacking with it. I understand that once back at home I should keep it uncompressed but while traveling... Can anyone help me figure this out? Do you know @DannyMilks ?
Thanx!

JSTruchyNot sure what the 'centre baffle' issue is but i used mine again on the weekend. They don't stuff down very small using the issued cover but if you used a high compression stuffsack you could them small enough for bikepacking. If you need the 0 celcius insulation this is probably the smallest option on the market Or you could go the less insulated option and wear all your clothes. Unless they're wet...

Thank you for the info. Good to know. I have never owned a quilt so this helps. I've been reading on them and they seem great but they're still foreign to me.
The "central baffle" issue is regarding some quilts that were already delivered (see previous messages). Some people mentioned that theirs either seemed to be missing down in some places or that it wasn't put in properly. Some seem to say that it was problamatic. And so, having never owed a Quilt before, I wanted to know if this was resolved or, at the very least, if it was truly a problem. As I mentioned above, I don't live in the USA so returning products can be annoying and / or pricey even if under waranty.

JSTruchyI bought mine from EE directly and can attest that is well made - I bought clips to secure it to a camping mat as well. The benefit of this quilt is that it can be a true quilt or cinched at the foot to make a footbox. I doubt if i would go back to using a sleeping bag as I usually 'quilted' my sleeping bag anyway except for real cold conditions. The only thing I miss about a sleeping bag is the snuggle factor of being surrounded by down but, lets face it, all that down on the bottom is wasted. The revelation quilt can be cinched at the feet and around the shoulders and with the clips it can be cinched down to a mat to make a draught proof cover. You will need insulation for your neck and head to make it truly as warm as a sleeping bag - I picked up a down beanie on massdrop but I have also used a puffy jacket under me with the hood as a head cover which simulates a sleeping bag. I bought two and one wasn't delivered(!!) but an email to EE resolved that quickly. I imported mine into Australia and I believe that if I had manufacturing concerns I could have returned it for resolution but, of course, that is at sender's expense as Australian retail laws would not cover an international problem. In the case of Massdrop I am not sure where you would turn - to massdrop or to EE. EE would probably fix the problem as reputation matters to a cottage company, in saying that I have never heard of anyone having problems with a revelation quilt - they are getting quite popular in hiking circles.

Per my previous posts, the center is filled to the specifications to all EE Revelations. They are accurate to 0.5 grams per baffle chamber. The true test is how warm it is, in quilt mode, while camping. If you're truly unhappy because you think your quilt is uniquely underfilled, we can have the quilt sent to EE for verification of down fill.

DannyMilksHi Danny, so that means that the few ones that were underfilled were an exception and generally all the other ones that have been shipped up to now were fine? I'm referring to some previous posts with pictures of quilt showing missing down. Like I said before, i'm just trying to make sure I won't have to deal with shipping a product back from outside the USA for fixing...

Thank you for your reply Wily. Helps a lot. I have used my sleeping bag as a quilt many times before and so, I feel like going for a quilt this time around is probably the best thing to do. And sleeping with a hat on, that's something i've done befort regardless of the sleeping bag hood so it should be ok. Plus, from what I read, a quilt will be better size wise for bike touring... Because beside that, everything else seems great!
