The revelation quilt I received and used for the first time early August smelled like a wet dog. I like the build and the zip with flat quilt option but this thing smells like a wet dog and I washed it in grangers down wash after my first weekend of use. I just used the quilt from Saturday to tuesday which is today and the thing still smells of wet dog. I never had weird smells from my feathered friends bag. This massdrop is only for those who don’t mind wet dog smell. if the down didn’t smell so bad this would be a great bag. If you are 6’ I recommend going long wide. I wouldn’t go smaller in a hammock. This bag is more of a 30deg bag and the fill in the bag is not quite up to snuff however as I could see large sections where it was only fabric. I do not recommend these baffles going vertically the full length of the bag as the down can gather far away from the top or all up in your shoulder area. It would be a good design to have a locked down pull cord at the foot end because when it is crunched it’s about 12 or more inches on each side .

MassbossThe gamey smell is sometimes just natural but can also be a result of poor processing (or sometimes just from the way good are stored/shipped in containers on the way here). Good news is that it's easy to get rid of. Buy any enzyme cleaner, a quart should be enough, and give it an overnight soak before another laundering (the down wash you have is fine, but any sport/tech soap or plain old regular woolite works great too. There is nothing special about "down" wash compared to "tech" wash really, except a marketing label.). Pre-wet the bag for convenience, then add enough water to the enzyme cleaner to just cover the bag when submerged in a bucket or whatever you have to work with. Knead it a few times to ensure it's reaching the down inside adequately. Give it a half day/overnight, then drain and launder again, should be good. Unscented is preferable.
