Inhibited knives in New Zealand:
Knives having a blade that opens automatically by hand pressure applied to a button, spring, or other device in or attached to the handle of the knife — sometimes known as ‘flick knife’ or ‘flick gun’.
Any knife having a blade that is released from the handle or sheath by the force of gravity or the application of centrifugal force, and that when released is locked in place by means of a button, spring, lever, or other device — sometimes known as a ‘gravity knife’ or ‘butterfly knife’.
With the exception of any folding pocket knives with a blade less than 10cm in length, any knife that: • is designed for ease of concealment on the person; or • has a double-edged blade that is designed or suitable for stabbing or throwing (as opposed to cutting); or • is a knife of the kinds known as ‘urban skinner’, ‘terminator’, ‘black eagle’, ‘black dagger’, or ‘throwing knife’.
Would this mean I can import this knife into New Zealand?

PulsturaI don't see anything in what you posted that would prohibit this knife from New Zealand. The first paragraph pertains to auto knives. Although this knife is fast deploying, it is fully manual to open. You should be fine there.
The second paragraph describes a balisong or gravity knife. This knife doesn't open by force of gravity or centrifugal force. It opens due to pressure on the flipper tab overcoming the detent that holds the blade in the handle.
The following points look like they apply to folding knives with blades greater than 10 cm or any fixed blade that meets the bullet points. None of these would apply to the Falcon.
You should have no problem importing, just bear in mind that many customs or security agents misinterpret their own laws. A lot of things get seized that are otherwise perfectly legal. I've heard stories of agents claiming a knife was a gravity knife just because the pivot was loose.
Good luck!

PulsturaIt's pretty much the same in Canada, which is part of the reason Massdrop stopped shipping blades here. CBSA will confiscate any knives that open via gravity (i.e. they aren't tightened enough by the manufacturer and fall open) or have some sort of switch to release the blade that is not a safety. Even the Paragon Warlock, which has a button to split its frame in half and let the blade swing out, would be considered a gravity-open.
The lever has to be part of the blade and the mechanism of opening can only be "assisted" (see: Ken Onion knives) via ball-bearing and ramp groove/detent. This knife seems to fall into that category - but could still be "easily concealed"... then again, what knife can't fit in a pocket?
