Well Massdrop won't let me leave a review so I'll do it here. This knife has been a rollercoaster. I've had it for a few days now and I was Extremely happy with it. It's wicked sharp, it's super light, and it feels great in the hand. Well all that changed last night because the knife has literally started coming apart. To be clear I've barely used the knife. I've flipped it open many times (because it is a bit stiff and I was hoping it would smooth out a bit) but the extent of it's use has been opening 2 cardboard boxes. I have no idea why but the top of the knife is popping open allowing the blade to hit the frame as it closes. This is supremely disappointing. I didn't pay $99 and wait months for a knife that is destroying itself. Hopefully mine is just an exception but it definitely seems that there are quality control issues at WE Knives.

ItsMrChristianJust a loose pivot possibly from a little "new knife flippin'". Simply remove the scale, tighten to your desired preference, replace the scale onlay. You'll need a small Torx T6 driver, flathead screwdriver, and possibly a little Blu Tac (or anything a bit gummy to assist in grabbing the free spinning side of the pivot). If you don't ever want to touch it again, you may want to add a dob of Blue Loctite.

BflyingCould be. Still, the fact that it needs maintenance after 3 days doesn't give me confidence in the building quality. I expected more for my money .

ItsMrChristianOh FFS! What does a loose pivot screw have to do with the build quality? Do a little research and you'll see that pivot screws coming loose on flippers has been happening since flippers were invented. Put a small dab of blue Loctite on the pivot and problem solved. Just be thankful they didn't load the pivot up with red Loctite preventing you from maintaining it, like many other companies do.

BflyingYes mine had a loosening pivot as well, but I didn't let it get as far as you did. You have to remove the clip side scale to get at the pivot screw and I found that the screw had some blue loctite on it, but doesn't seem to be doing anything. I have switched to using the blue loctite in a chapstick dispenser to avoid all the running and tighten it down to desired and then LEAVE it alone to let the stuff cure overnight. Won't be a problem again.

BlacplasticBuild quality no it's over all a well built knife but the fact that it happens so fast compared to other 2 flippers I have for around the same price point is a disappointing

ItsMrChristianSame on mine. Disassembled, thigthen the pivot screw and fixed the issue i have noticed most screws had threadlock whereas the pivot screw doesn’t

ItsMrChristianI am experiencing the exact same thing. Was thrilled with it for the first 2-3 weeks and then began to loosen up and misalign. It has become stiff when open as it drags on one side and when open loose blade with movement side to side. I am going to see if I can tighten but cannot find the right wrench size since it did not come with one.
