I wish I were a brass or copper guy, the design seems solid. I'll look forward to maybe seeing an anodized aluminum or titanium offering someday.
GentlemanSinI like the look of brass and copper. Hands that smell like pennies? Not so much.
A Stanley?

GentlemanSinCheck out anodized aluminum TUKKs. Very handy little tool. That's a TUKK, not a RUK.

It's a retractable utility knife, the concept isn't exactly new.
I'll give you the design here is derivative, but the function is retracting a replaceable razor blade. That's not new.
Thanks for making me aware of tukk though, I'm probably going to end up getting one in Aluminum or titanium when they are in stock. Not smelly and I like supporting a small business rather that the bigger business that uses their ideas.

Notsurewhyibother I'm not sure why I'm bothering to reply, but most concepts evolve over time through innovation and reconceptualization. Stanley (and others) began making a retractable knife in the 20th Century. Did they fit on a keyring? X-Acto (and others) made fixed blade hobby knives. Would you hang that on your keyring? The combination of the two is innovation and entrepreneurship is building a small business to bring them to the market as a maker. I have a TUKK XL and love it and have been considering picking up an aluminum TUKK (or two) for myself and my wife. Not a fanboy, just the value of the product is felt when using them and supporting a small business when I can makes it even better.
Didn't realize you make the tukk until this post. I'm a bit dense this morning (every morning, most evenings too). Thanks for the info. I'll grab an aluminum from the site if the titanium will be out indefinitely.

Are there patents, trademarks or anything confirming this idea was/is yours or that you were the first? on overall design, button usage, etc? Honest questions, as I'm super interested in how this all happened on both ends.
