No shipping cost? Does that mean free shipping? TO AUSTRALIA?!

baesexUnfortunately no, make sure you change the country in the dropdown menu to get the actual shipping cost. Here in Canada it's cheaper by almost $10 per pack to buy these at a running-focused footwear store (The Running Room).

vsmaHmm yeah there's no dropdown menu or anything.. just checked though and it seems this is the case for all drops for me now. Had "shipping to Aus" there a couple of days ago though. Strange.

vsmaI think you might be greatly mistaken. These socks are $20 with roughly $4 shipping to CA - and you're saying you can get them for $14 in Canada? That's really curious because these socks are not available anywhere else in the world - these are Massdrop exclusive. Fitsok doesn't make socks with this fabric blend, aesthetics or ankle height for anyone else. Plus, I'd be really impress if you could find 3 pairs of anything close for $14. One pair of Darn Tough 1/4 Hikers is $17.

baesexFree shipping to US, and subsidized shipping to Oz. I'm showing that it's under $5 to ship to you.

DannyMilksI've never seen anything under $5 shipping to Aus! That's amazing! Although it seems the site is bugging for me and not showing any shipping prices at all..

baesexDid you choose a sock size/color, enter your credit card info, and select a shipping address? Unfortunately for our friends overseas, that's the only way to see the shipping cost. Let me know if you do that and it's STILL not showing you the shipping price. You'll be able to see the total cost before you approve payment.

DannyMilksI'm not mistaken, I'm just considering the whole cost. $24 usd is almost $35 cad, especially once you throw in the charge from your CC conversion, not just the straight exchange value. I have a 3 pack that I bought for $25 cad ($10 less than the converted massdrop price) of the identical socks to the previous drop. They're the charcoal grey/lime green which I'm fine with, equivalent fabric blend, and identical ankle height. Once the cad/usd exchange crashed it no longer made sense to shop out of the us, with a much more favourable conversion from the brits and often cheaper shipping (ironically, with a whole damn ocean between). I'm happy with my socks, having found a better local source, so I thought I'd share my knowledge with another nation often ripped off by shipping and conversions

baesexI've had that issue before I think too, it might be a website issue. I always have to click the "join drop" button and I just change the country to canada (or aus in your case) to find out what the real shipping is for each item, you don't need to waste time filling in your full address or CC info if you just want to know the shipping cost. At ~$33 post-conversion, it's probably worth first googling whether anyone carries these socks locally for you, that's how I found mine!

DannyMilksI've bought heaps of stuff off massdrop before and it's never been like this. Not gonna waste my time jumping through hurdles to see the total cost sorry, but appreciate the sentiment and your help.

vsmaIf you didn't buy them here, they're not the same socks. They might be made by the same company, and they might even look similar, but they're not the same socks. You probably bought the Fitsok ISW trail cuffs, which, as the name would suggest, are not the same.

baesexNo problem! Canadians and Aussies seem to get hit by similar shipping and conversion charges so often that I've started always searching for a non-US source before buying. The ISW trail socks are equivalent and seem to be at least semi-prevalent in fitness stores here so maybe check out local fitness/outdoorsy type stores too!

vsmaCheck what they are made out of, they are not equivalent socks, the ISW socks are 39% Merino, 39% Polypropylene, 20% Nylon and 2% spandex. While the Massdrop socks are 58% merino wool, 40% nylon, 2% Lycra.
