@DannyMilks -- what's the distance from heal bottom to cuff?? Wanting to know if the sock is suitable to wear with hiking boots (Lowa, mid) in warmer weather. Also, will 10.5 be better as L (too small?) or XL (too large?)?!?
AnentI wear size 10.5 shoes when shoe manufacturers aren't too bombastic (looking at you, Sketchers, changing your fit every year...), and the Large fits ok. Like hubert says, they stretch to fit so you will feel a little restriction to spreading your toes, but inside shoes and wearing all day (wore mine for about a week so far in 9-hour standing shifts at work) they feel great. I think more material would be too much; although the stretchiness may help, Fitsok designed the L for our size feet.
These socks stretch and are sorta mesh-transparent on top (like you'll be able to see 5% of your skin through the black sock color) to vent heat and let air in, but still these hiking socks are thicker than average day-socks and are pretty toasty. Sometimes in the summer you just can't beat sandals (without socks!!), but I will say I recently wore them for a three-hour volunteer excursion weeding out invasive plants from a riverside, and I have no complaints about their in-boot performance. Despite the fact that I had worn them the day before, my feet stayed dry with none of that squishy bog feeling, and the only soreness the next day was my back... haha

EvshrugL for 10.5 👍🏻
How about the height of the sock? --don't want my boots rubbing my skin.... Knowing the heal to cuff distance would be fantastic! Please!
AnentWell bud, I've been running amok in my house, but I couldnt find tape measure. I'd guess about 6"? How's this practical demo?

AnentLol, I've been buying enough stuff lately.. illumination provided by my Massdrop x Lumentop flashlight, I'm trying to set up a monitor arm that Massdrop just delivered, I've got 2 tops I bought as a father's day gift (one for each of us), couple audio products and knives...
You've got one high-top boot there! Looks like the back heel-to-crew length would be fine, but the front (where you measured) would be right on the lip of the sock. Probably would be fine, but of course I can't guarantee. Mid-calf socks these are not. Worse-case you'll wear these socks with regular shoes and still get plenty of use out of them.
