There Are Pandas, and Then There Are Pandas.
And this isn't either of them! The Pandas we're talking about here, are watches, not bears. And what got me thinking about them (again) was a link posted this morning by @cm.rook who pointed a few of us to the very attractive (and not terribly priced) Yema "Rallygraph" Panda which, in it's most traditional arrangement, looks like the one on the left, but can also be had in the version on the right: The model on the left is a true Panda, while the model on the right is called a reverse Panda. The reason for that distinction is clear--Panda bears, only come in the first arrangement. Now at this point, everyone should be thinking about the most well-know Panda, The Rolex Panda, which is actually a Daytona, and among Rolex Daytonas, the most famous of which is the Paul Newman Daytona, which was famous first, because it was Paul's, and second because it sold at auction for $17.8 million (US Dollars). The story of that auction is well-known so I'll only...

These socks stretch and are sorta mesh-transparent on top (like you'll be able to see 5% of your skin through the black sock color) to vent heat and let air in, but still these hiking socks are thicker than average day-socks and are pretty toasty. Sometimes in the summer you just can't beat sandals (without socks!!), but I will say I recently wore them for a three-hour volunteer excursion weeding out invasive plants from a riverside, and I have no complaints about their in-boot performance. Despite the fact that I had worn them the day before, my feet stayed dry with none of that squishy bog feeling, and the only soreness the next day was my back... haha
How about the height of the sock? --don't want my boots rubbing my skin.... Knowing the heal to cuff distance would be fantastic! Please!
You've got one high-top boot there! Looks like the back heel-to-crew length would be fine, but the front (where you measured) would be right on the lip of the sock. Probably would be fine, but of course I can't guarantee. Mid-calf socks these are not. Worse-case you'll wear these socks with regular shoes and still get plenty of use out of them.
