Hello everyone!
I’m excited to bring you the next addition of the Massdrop x Fitsok Spectra collection! The community requested a hiking sock using spectra yarns, which was a great idea. We immediately began development. After rounds of sampling and testing, we've landed on the most durable hiking sock that is also perfect for trail running. Added features from the Spectra running sock provide comfort and support where needed.
During testing, the yarns surpassed 80,000 cycles on the abrasion testing machine and the test was abandoned because the socks weren’t going to fail. For this reason, this yarn is also used for military and law enforcement, most commonly used for bulletproof vests.
We really appreciated the community input that lead us to developing this hiker version. We’re always open to suggestions for future ideas as well, so please keep the suggestions coming! Anything related to design, colors, features, etc.

kim.suarezWith so many different Fitsok available, how do I choose? It'd be great if there's a table for comparison.
I'm looking for a daily wear socks and also for trail/hiking, should I go for this or the Merino one?

theanghvThat's a great idea! Will ask Fitsok to prepare something like this.
The merino ones are great for daily wear and hiking, yes! These are more performance-based and better suited for longer, more strenuous hikes or trail runs. However, these will last longer than the Merino ones over extended time. These are a bit overkill for everyday office use, which is why I would recommend the merino for you.
We're working on our new Merino colorway option now! Any colors you want to see?
Thanks for the suggestions!

kim.suarezColors? How about versatile solid colors, without the weird patterns and eye-searing colors found too often in modern socks? Examples include light gray, dark gray, navy blue, Loden green, tan, and brown. (White shows all dirt, while black—well, black socks are for tuxedos.)

Bayside_FatherSounds good! That seems to be how we're doing the next drop, which will be suited for office use with the same features of merino that can go out on the trail!

Gunnersmate2I agree with this. Hiker length fits everyday purposes better than crew.

kim.suarezThank you. I got the low cut no show merino fitsok and love them. Sign me up for 3- 3 packs of XL hikers. I know you can't, I just don't want to miss out. For me a good pair of socks makes my day. I might be a little weird but I've got the merino wool bug and will never go back to cotton

Gunnersmate2I totally get it! These are great socks! We'll definitely have plenty in stock and they are set to be available I believe on November 14. Let me set a reminder to myself to reach out to you on that day.
