What can we surmise by the drop in price from $799 to $699? Either MD loves us so much that they decided to eat their profit margin and give us "friends" a lower price(?) Or MD underestimated our (minus 200 of us) ability to spot a great deal from an okay deal and is really not our friend? (Think about if the drop ended the way MD hoped; 1000 headphones sold for a $100 more per and MD gets $100k more!) Perhaps we are just a wee bit smarter and discerning than they thought? Again Focal is not a fool and would not sell a better headphone for less money and betray their own distributor/dealers. Hopefully, MD will focus on giving us really great deals (ie, the Elear with the Clear pads for $599) rather than some unknown quantity and hype that we have to wait 4 months to find out if we made a mistake. Still an easy pass, as the Clear is the headphone to go for. No FOMO here.
