Sennheiser PC37X randomly goes bad after disconnecting the cable ?
Greetings, Yesterday I was using my headset like normal with my macbook, just listening to music and on a call with people like usual, and the headset was perfectly fine. The stock wire that came with the headset is extremely long and yesterday it annoyed me very much that it kept getting tangled with itself, so I decided to see if the cable is replaceable. I pulled out the cable from the headset and saw the adapter, and looked online for a replacement. Upon plugging it back in, the audio sounded extremely muffled and washed out. Im not sure what I did wrong to make it mess up like that as I've always taken good care of it, ive had it for about 2 years and its always just been chilling on my desk, but anywho I thought the cable just went bad and ordered a replacement. The replacement came, and the issue is still persistant, so I am not sure what the issue is I've tried multiple different headsets and the issue is not with the port, and I also tried it with my windows laptop and...

Planning to buy Astell & Kern Kann. Sennheiser 800S Someday!
Finally thought and read a lot about Beyerdynamic T1 v2 and Focal Elex. I was almost going to order MDs Focal Elex. Until I saw the squeaking and cracking issues from many users using Focal Elear. Yet torn between T1 v2 and Elex. :|
Recommendations Please...
I found that I enjoyed the sound out of the Beyer -- just sounded more rich and full to me. I also have to note that I found the Elear extremely uncomfortable. I am at my desk 6-8 hours a day, and I found that the Elear was super heavy and would press down on the top of my head. This is not a problem I've had with any other headphone, and I've had a few. I really think the Beyer is great and think it doesn't get enough love.
I honestly think the Beyer is a steal, especially now that it's down to the $700 range. As an added bonus it'll arrive before mid-May.
When I listened to a T1 at a Beyerdynamic showroom, it struck me as a bit lifeless than both my HD800 and HD600. But it wasn't a fair comparison, my Senns are on my tweaked tube amp at home, the T1 was hooked up to Beyer's solid state A2, I've never really liked the solid state sound. Although when I listened to the Utopia, it was on solid state and I still loved it.
I've never worn either extensively so can't comment on their comfort, but sound-wise Utopia (or potentially the baby Utopia / Elex) will be king.
