Sennheiser PC37X randomly goes bad after disconnecting the cable ?
Greetings, Yesterday I was using my headset like normal with my macbook, just listening to music and on a call with people like usual, and the headset was perfectly fine. The stock wire that came with the headset is extremely long and yesterday it annoyed me very much that it kept getting tangled with itself, so I decided to see if the cable is replaceable. I pulled out the cable from the headset and saw the adapter, and looked online for a replacement. Upon plugging it back in, the audio sounded extremely muffled and washed out. Im not sure what I did wrong to make it mess up like that as I've always taken good care of it, ive had it for about 2 years and its always just been chilling on my desk, but anywho I thought the cable just went bad and ordered a replacement. The replacement came, and the issue is still persistant, so I am not sure what the issue is I've tried multiple different headsets and the issue is not with the port, and I also tried it with my windows laptop and...

Hey Will,
I'm glad to see that others will be able to pick up this re-opened drop, but can we talk about this^^ for a minute? Is Focal now okay with this price point in perpetuity? Other than a low serial number, the re-opening at the $699 drop level appears to negate the perceived value/bonus afforded to members who purchased the Elex before Jan 1st. Don't get me wrong, I'm glad those who want it have a shot at it and that MD is moving more product on something that was given a lot of time/work/thought/effort but it chafes those (myself included) who jumped on the first round. Feel free to share with the group, as I'm sure I'm not the only one who has this thought.
At the time, two days was all we could get at $699.99, but because so many more folks joined at that new price, we were able to convince Focal to keep $699.99 for the future.
You joining in January has made it possible for the audiophile community at large to access this $699.99 pricepoint. Does that make your life better? Not really, it's the same situation for you individually, but because of your actions this product is available at the optimal price for all members of the Audiophile community.
One could look at this situation and think "well if people in the future are going to get the benefit, I'll wait for that the next time around", but it's easy to think that when you're in the future, and the outcome has gone this way. Going into that conversation at CES, I felt like it was a coin flip, 50/50 chance we'd be able to continue offering the Elex at $699, and given the number which we had sold up until that point (~330), the inability to sell at $699 for the future might have put the whole project at risk given our Minimum Order Quantity agreements.
We're working on ways to add value/excitement to a product's launch (testing out some basic perks on the Vital Chef's Knife we just announced, more exciting things in development), but in the meantime, know you helped make something possible for the audiophile community that couldn't have happened without you and everyone else who joined the Elex launch.
We have a huge appreciation for all of you who join launches. You take the greatest risk, and without you, none of this would be possible. We're working on some ways to recognize you for making this possible and I hope to be able to share more on that soon.
Keep up the good work! Can't wait to get these in my hands soon
