AveryCDefinitely excited. Purchased the CTH and pairing it with my Mojo and Topping NX4 for DAC. Can't wait to see how the Elex works with the CTH. Would really love to see the upcoming Massdrop DAC in this form factor as their amp. Would love to see Massdrop do a collaboration with Chord or IFI.

jsmiller58I too have yet to receive a notice from FedEx, USPS, or UPS that a label has been created for my address. And April 20th is technically here now.

Moorekom I’m also in the March drop, the waiting is so much harder now that people are getting them and posting about them. Someone said there serial number is 730, if this is true than that means Massdrop has all of the Elex’s for the March and April drops sitting in there warehouse since 755 have been sold.
This also explains why are drop status still says “Drop Successful”, no new order needed to be put in with Focal because I wouldn’t be surprised if there original agreement was for a production run of 1,000 units, which was the limit for the first drop and they probably got them all. They miscalculated the demand for them hence the price drop and that’s why these additional drops are being added until they sell all of those remaining units that were probably already manufactured.
Hope they ship out in the next week!

RMA192_AKI ordered in December and got mine today with a serial number above 900 so it wouldn't surprise me if you are right or close to it. It seems that they did not honor the original promise regarding serialization below 550 for orders below 500. (In retrospect, I guess it was sort of false advertising. The number doesn't matter to me but it would have slightly differentiated the December drop from February drop. It also seems like nothing came of the last paragraph of https://www.massdrop.com/buy/massdrop-x-focal-elex-headphones/talk/1966080 though I guess he might have been speaking generally).

npc2I guess this might be the appreciation that he was talking about. They have the items early and are shipping only to early drops. The rest might get it on previously designated dates. I'm guessing since they didn't expect to have the entire batch, they messed up on the numbering as they probably picked it out randomly.

npc2You are on to what I was trying to imply in my post that there is some false advertising going on here. I didn't want to say so until more people confirmed higher number serial numbers. There shouldn't have been any serial numbers over 550 shipped out at this point, they screwed that up. I just don't like it when companies marketing people make stuff up, just be honest with your customers. I also don't care about what serial number I get, but apparently some people do and Massdrop does this on many drops to get those people to buy early so they should have been more careful and honored there promise.

MoorekomAt this point I don't think they will ship any other drops early, they could but that would anger some of the people from the December/January drops that had to wait much longer after committing to it. I wasn't clear in my first reply to you that I also don't mind waiting a couple weeks until our shipping date, it makes sense that we should have to wait a little longer. I just wanted to put my theory out there and note that they messed up with the serial numbers that they promised those early buyers the lower numbers. They just probably rushed to get them shipped out when they received them in random order like you said.

RMA192_AKI understood what you were getting at. I'm not sure if they have the entire batch or most of it, but I look at it as them deciding to send the previous drops early as a form of appreciation. They will not send the rest right now, but even if they send it a week early for us because of demand, that would be beneficial for us.
