Hello, I just joined, primarily for the audiophile products. Looking at purchasing the NHT C3 speakers for our new living room. Space is about 15 feet wide by 33 long and they will fire long ways. Space is just for general listening, music room with all equipment is downstairs, so hoping they will fill it with sound nicely. Cheers.

This is a case where understanding some basic technical drivers of the equipment you spend a lot of money on would've really helped.
Or the new iFi wireless xDSD just now coming out, don't know the price point or real availability, but the features... damn: https://ifi-audio.com/portfolio-view/x-xdsd/
Plus a decent Thunderbolt 3 to USB A adapter/cable to connect the iFi to your macbook pro if you don't have one; do you have player software on your mac? https://roonlabs.com/index.html
Nope, not rumor, Will in collaborations at MD has put it out; that an effort is underway for a new DAC, no time frame though...
DSD = Sonic Lubricity.
Audioengine D1 "Input sample rate (USB) 32kHz-96kHz native playback 188.2kHz & 192kHz re-sampled to 96kHz "
The iDSD BL Nano: "DSD 256/128/64/12.4/11.2/6.2/5.6/3.1/2.8 DXD 384/352.8kHz PCM 384/352.8/192/176.4/96/88.2/48/44.1kHz "
They know about the looks issue... When MD releases the new DAC,, that is the looker and the iFi becomes a traveler.
My OTL amp inspired me to explore headphones beyond the headphone-out on my preamp. I expect the Alex’s will inspire an exploration of Amps.
When I got back into this, I listened to PCM through the levels,, and then heard what I have been waiting for with DSD. I have finally determined that a native 2.8 is better kept there, than upsampled to 5.6, but it may be the PC:)
Should have invested in SACD, but just as well not, because not a fan of injection molded & gilded media, now that I can get studio files.
Edit: The xDSD is only $400. Not that bad for what it does.
