For any of those curious, I used these last night through my AV Receiver playing the new God of War and Mad Max: Fury Road (4k BluRay) and they sound stellar. I definitely see myself using these for gaming as the positional audio was better than I was expecting but what really got to me was the depth. Everything is so nicely layered I could accurately tell the distance of someone (or thing) behind and above me. Also, the sound of Kratos' axe thunking into a draugr is nothing short of intoxicating. Mad Max was a blast as well due to all the ambient sound effects and engines revving. Everything just sounded so meaty and had weight. Previously, I normally main the 6XX and 4XX as my AV/gaming cans but don't think I will go back to them after using the Elex. The Elex just makes everything sound more exciting without being fatiguing. It reminds me so much of listening to my loudspeakers, just, on my head. They may not cover all of the LFE effects of a subwoofer but they capture enough essence and bite on the low-end to be satisfying. Just for context, I listen in pure direct mode that disables most/all the processing (DSP, decoders, video circuitry, front panel off, etc).
