DrwskeShould be great for imaging and soundstage, but if you want to feel rumble-style bass for explosions and stuff, these probably won’t be the most fun.

DrwskeThese, no. But other Senn's and the HE4XX all sound great for gaming (even through my AV receiver). The Senn is the only one that sounds 'okay' through the jack in the controller. Otherwise, they'll need more power to sound good and give you that big soundstage and imaging.

jaydunndidditNot sure why you are saying this. These are much much easier to drive than the He4xx, as for the Senns, well there is hundreds of Senns model, but if you are refering to the Hd6xx those are also way harder to drive. The Focals will sound good with anything where planars or Hi Z Senn's definitely need an amp. Maybe your AV receiver has a good amp on board, it's common

AftermanAfter watching head-fi's early thoughts and sleeping on it (god bless second shift) I think that's the route I'm heading if I were a tiny bit earlier I would have bought 2 one for me n one for my friend but unfortunately I think he may get the m-50x's if those are as good as advertised thanks so much for the heads up :)

DrwskeDang, I should have ordered last night. Didn't think they would move that fast. It was at 142 out of 1000 in the $249 bracket when I went to sleep. Now that's gone.

AftermanJust gotta say I'm still breaking them in but my god the tracking feature stands out and their ex's are phenomenal it is active and the hype was not over the top in fact I'm putting this out there now will not ever go for another non audio company turtle beach or astros you name it, when audeze says they want it perfect and done right they mean it and they beyond nailed it after using on multiple multiple games be it shoot-em-up where you feel like you can sit and camp and know just by listening and turning your head and hear where enemies are and where they are heading. An rpg you name it skyrim dark souls fallout assasins creed, the witcher the cutscenes and voices just sound insanely clear and pronounced as to who is speaking where they are and even when passing npc's in the streets you hear anything said. Racing games I mean hey forza 4 the roar of the engine as you cruise all over creation and then in races easily able to tell where ppl are behind you bass is present but not over the top phones bouncing off your head insanity mids are accentuated and ever present the. Highs of the mobius arent ear shattering but just light airy and actually pleasurable and overall relatively middle of the road between the warm and cool side of phones maybe slightly leaning towards the warm side but absolutely phenomenal well worth it thank you again so much for the advice :)
