Hello, I just joined, primarily for the audiophile products. Looking at purchasing the NHT C3 speakers for our new living room. Space is about 15 feet wide by 33 long and they will fire long ways. Space is just for general listening, music room with all equipment is downstairs, so hoping they will fill it with sound nicely. Cheers.

Granted, Massdrop has a long-established system that one such as yourself must have grown accustomed to, but again, that does not mean I'm not still baffled by your wanting to cancel your order after having placed it already. If it's any consolation, you could probably sell these off after playing around with them for a little bit without losing too much money.
'grossly impulsive and irresponsible'... ' ...also, you would think that people have self-control enough not to join a drop unless they're absolutely certain of their purchase. ' hey there, take it easy on the hyperbole, Dad! i modded my post both here and on hf once i learned of more info.
this was my 2nd mass drop purchase and I (mistakenly) thought their cancellation policy was in affect. and per your comments of being '' you would think that people have self-control enough not to join a drop unless they're absolutely certain of their purchase.'' well that is fallacious, is it? otherwise massdrop wouldn't have a cancellation policy in affect for the majority of their drops now would they? ...additionally, most places doing retail offer a cancellation policy, thus again voiding so much for needing to be 'absolutely certain'. thanks for the best wishes to find a buyer, should be inclined that route, but also next time please take it easy on the hyperbole per your comments.
Also, if you want to split hairs there is a difference between finding an item not to your liking or not up to spec, resulting in your wanting to return it, and cancelling an order because you're having second thoughts about something. Maybe it's my old-school upbringing that's driving me to say this, but people (not just men, that's sexist— fine, I'm only marginally old-school) should be more decisive and take greater care in their dealings, especially in matters involving money. It's others' livelihoods that are put at risk when buyers waffle, and though you could argue that the burden is on manufacturers and vendors to ensure that their wares are worth consumers' hard-earned cash, I feel that isn't really in question where Massdrop and Fostex are concerned (I admit I'm a bit of a fanboy).
Right, offering a handshake now because I was toeing lines a while ago myself. If the reason you're backing out is due to financial constraint, then I can see why my earlier message might have come across as tone-deaf as well. Sorry.
For what it's worth, these are my primary cans at the moment, and I plan on keeping them even when I move on to my [tentative] endgame, an HD800; the Fostexes are just that enjoyable, though there's a bit of a hotspot in the treble that will bug you on certain tracks. The Sennheisers are barely flagship territory nowadays as far as price goes, but you need one hell of a rig to do it justice, adding the cost of an exemplary amp and DAC to the bottom line. Still, comparatively affordable as it is, they're are priced far out of my comfort zone just now, but are nonetheless a choice I arrived at after years of consideration and planning. That might give you a bit of insight as to why I'm snippy about money and how your complaining (across several sites) about being unable to back out of a buy might have proven irritating.
But enough about that, I already said I was done ranting. I was sincere in my wishing you luck finding a buyer for these, though seeing as how X00 drops are a daily thing now, it might suit your interests to wait until they're comparatively scarce again before putting them up on the market, unless you can afford to absorb the cost of shipping on top of shaving a few dollars off the cost of its being a pre-owned unit. Might as well have fun with them while you can, and share your impressions compared to your other cans. Would make for good forum reading!
