First mod to my new TH-X00 EB.
Sennheiser Headband cushion. They work great on my HE-500 SO figured they couldn't hurt.
Not really needed, but for extended wear they do help.
Next:
- Dekoni Sheepskin pads
- Removable cable mod
- Maybe Lawton tune up
RojasTKDGreat job! I also customized mine almost identically and can safely say: don't bother with Lawton tuneup, it doesn't change anything, if anything it made the mids a little harsher. X00 is great as it is. Now for the headband, did you just tape it there or what? I was planning to do the same thing but wasn't sure how to make it stay there without damaging the original headband.
CamperIVi have to disagree about the Lawton Tune-Up not doing anything. I had already switched pads to the Brainwavs angled pleather. Maybe this is the reason I am noticing a difference with the Lawton Tune-Up. I suppose if you keep the stock pads maybe the difference is too minimal to notice. I must say it really cleaned up the bass after the Lawton Tune-Up (which i performed myself). I didn't do the full mod. I opted to not put the acoustic foam circles in the cups.
Assimilator702Anyhow, my ebonies broke at the super tiny plastic joint, I got rid of them and went with the LCD-2C. I definitely miss the ebonies fun sound. But these LCD-2Cs are pretty amazing in their own right. I keep the bass boost ON for these all the time on my iDSD-BL.
ridhuankimNice! Did you do that yourself or did you have someone do it for you?
I still haven't gotten around to it. I've recently invested in some speakers (JBL LRS30X and Swan M200 MKIII) and yesterday an Audio-GD R2R 11.
Eventually I'll get around to having it done maybe.
