I'm personally gonna hold on to my purplehearts because the difference isn't huge at all. Reviewers are saying they sound more alike then different so good enough for me. And the wait for the purplehearts is face melting I couldn't imagine waiting another 3 months, I'd lose my mind or whatever is left of it. I have no doubt that the purplehearts are gonna beat my pre-2012 denon ah-d2000s in every way which was my initial goal.

DenonFanboyThey are in fact more ressemblant to the mahogany ones that I actually own, but I think too that the difference is not really worth buying another pair, they do look great in black though :3
