Make a new logo. Not because the current one looks bad (well sort of), but because the Gavko one looks so much better. Here's something I threw together.

I feel like this is simple enough to engrave into the blade and at the same time be easily identifiable as a Massdrop logo (because of the "M").
I made a few others but looking at them you wouldn't instantly associate them with Massdrop which is bad for brand recognition (which is what logos are for). But this one is pretty fun. It's basically the Golden Gate bridge (because Massdrop is located in San-Francisco) with "Massdrop" written on it, but I don't think it'd look good on a knife.
Ares78I like the old logo quite a bit, it looks good, in the larger format it provided a good base for the other (smaller) steel type and serial information, in the smaller format like the Gent has it showcases the detail of the lettering even better.
The new one looks weak in photos but in person it's actually not too bad, especially once you go looking at different angles and see how the engraving interacts with light.
Omniseedtake a chill pill, man. You certainly don't need a custom to not get a silly massdrop logo on your blade (it's the equivalent of buying a knife with a "SPONSORED BY MOUNTAIN DEW" logo on it). You just...don't buy knives from massdrop.
PigmonkeYHmmm can't say I agree with the "sponsored by mountain Dew" analogy. Massdrop produced this knife. It wouldn't exist otherwise. They have every right to have their name on it, but I do think they could have a nicer logo
Ares78If you could find some way to add a guy with his head hung down beside a pile of knives and with his pockets turned inside-out...it would be perfection!
BknguyenAlmost nothing else uses big bold text as their logo. If it actually fit in anything they put it on, nobody would complain, but the intentionally all caps "MOUNTAIN DEW" analogy works because it's so blatant and poorly integrated into the rest of the aesthetic.
Sadly, the MD logo that Mountain Dew does use would be better suited to most things that "massdrop" has been engraved into...
I don't know if they insist on being overt with their branding, or they are just incapable of designing something appealing that fits anybody else's design cues. All I can say is that I haven't found their branding to integrate well with anything so far.
Ares78 I think the massdrop logo on my gavko thresher looks pretty good, small enough not to stand out. I doin't like the Gavko logo too much though to being with
