I'm paring this with an O2 amp that'll be stacked right on top or right below -- does anybody know where to get a super short 3.5mm to 3.5mm cable of good quality? I already have a ton of clutter on my desk :c

PixelFruitloopsI purchased Schiit's PYST (put your schiit together) 6" cables for my Topping stack. Got them used off Amazon for $16. Edit: per other comments, there are indeed shorter options available now. Nice!

PixelFruitloopsAmazon has 6" cables. Here's a link to one of them: http://a.co/7QKxkE7 This one is shorter, 3.2". Quality looks better though: http://a.co/9YV7cK2

PixelFruitloopsI've used ghentaudio several times with great results (link below). They're custom cables out of China, but they aren't as expensive as some of the other options. They were one of the only ones that offered a 7in length for my DAC -> Amp run like you need. I typically get their A09 for my RCA needs when I need a custom size, but it looks like they do 3.5mm to 3.5mm as well, several options.

PixelFruitloopsAn option: Ghent Audio was recommended to me. About 2 weeks for delivery. They have an Ebay shop too. I think they're out of Hong Kong. https://www.ghentaudio.com/part/d11.html

PixelFruitloopsI always use Monoprice cables. They have a 6" 3.5mm to 3.5mm, I actually just got one last week. Its build is solid, and its price is very reasonable.
PixelFruitloopsDepends on how much you want to spend. You can find some folks who will custom build what you want all over Etsy and eBay. Some of them are dirt cheap for good cabling. Or you can go high end for ridiculous cash at online entities like PlusSound Audio. I have had mixed results with Chinese entities; sometimes the plugs don't fit quite right. I won't explore that option again.
If you search ebay and Etsy for cable builders, you can find somebody who will do class work for fair prices and is in the US, usually looking to build a good rating so they can build their biz.

PixelFruitloopsI second the other comment about Ghent Audio. Ghent Xu is responsive & helpful. I've purchased a ½ dozen or more assorted cables from him—all are excellent.
My favorite RCA-to-RCA cable is D05. I know the picture shows 6.35mm terminations, but you can ask him for 3.5mm jacks. It's a very good sounding, non-microphonic cable I use to connect headphones to amps.

I use only 2M cables for headphones, but if ordering for a DAC-to-Amp situation, I'd order 1M or less, depending. Again, a custom length (ie, 1 ft.) would probably be no problem. Just ask. The prices are very affordable and the quality is high…
