Sennheiser PC37X randomly goes bad after disconnecting the cable ?
Greetings, Yesterday I was using my headset like normal with my macbook, just listening to music and on a call with people like usual, and the headset was perfectly fine. The stock wire that came with the headset is extremely long and yesterday it annoyed me very much that it kept getting tangled with itself, so I decided to see if the cable is replaceable. I pulled out the cable from the headset and saw the adapter, and looked online for a replacement. Upon plugging it back in, the audio sounded extremely muffled and washed out. Im not sure what I did wrong to make it mess up like that as I've always taken good care of it, ive had it for about 2 years and its always just been chilling on my desk, but anywho I thought the cable just went bad and ordered a replacement. The replacement came, and the issue is still persistant, so I am not sure what the issue is I've tried multiple different headsets and the issue is not with the port, and I also tried it with my windows laptop and...

Just note that McDonalds charges a dollar for all that work you mentioned above!
Massdrop charges 80 for sticking the DAC in the box and wiring it up. My problem is with the price. How about they charge 30 bucks instead of 80? Bring us some value here vs the competition!
The Modi 2 sells for $99 new, also with an AKM chip inside it. $80 is no big deal, babe.
900 bucks minimum rent a month for a 1 BD where I live. It's crazy, just for a small room with a roof.
All our advanced 21st century technology can't figure out a way to give us affordable roofs.
Supply and demand may determine that price we pay but it doesn't change the fact that it's all a huge pile of shit.
It's own unpopularity,,. Because it's selling bad, people aren't as interested. When things are hot sellers and they are moving like hotcakes, the high demand encourages people to buy so they don't miss out.
You asked for reasons, there are plenty even if you don't agree. Not everyone will agree on all reasons but each person may not buy because of one of them.
Whatever the case, it's not selling a lot of units so people aren't buying for some reason! The shipping date is just one possibility you know.
Specifically, he says, "the iPhone 5 is a wonderful high-fidelity audio source. While publications funded mostly by advertisements from makers of expensive cables, power conditioners and outboard DACs don't want you to know this, the iPhone 5 is a better audio source than most DACs will be when connected to a computer or CD transport."

Apple's audio products sound fantastic. On head-fi, someone made a thread that he couldn't tell any difference between a CHORD HUGO and an Iphone headphone output, which says it all.
