Support for Alternative Layouts
This is a summary of how alternative layouts have been supported by kits such as Colevrak and Homing. It is not a discussion of alt layout performance and development, but if that interests you I highly recommend starting with Pascal Getreuer’s A guide to alt keyboard layouts (why, how, which one?). It’s a concise and comprehensive overview with links to some great sites that go deeper. He also has a separate Links about keyboards page. The Keyboard layouts doc he recommends explains layout goals and metrics in detail, summarizing the alt layouts discussed here as well as more than one hundred others. We’re checking in to let you know the Massdrop x Hasbro XDA Scrabble Custom Keycap Set is making its way through production!
Cassidy has confirmed the plastic colors for the different keycaps and we're now working on finalizing the production legends. Check out the photo below for a preview of the project in progress.
We’re on track to meet our estimated ship date of August 31, and we’ll update everyone in mid August with the status of the shipment.
Is that really the color they are going to be?
Compare them to the pics from the drop, not even close.
Legends are looking pretty clean and consistent, too
Also the point values were closer to the corner of the keycap in the original images.
Is it possible to get it closer to the original images before hitting production?
So, one set of keycap samples to check colours, and another set of samples to check legends (on white, because probably cheaper).
