Which headphones of Drop's currently available?
I have some rewards points to burn but there's no obviously good options on Drop right now for headphones Contenders Ultrasone - maybe? I don't own any Ultrasones, so curious. Looks like garbage travel headphone which could be useful also. Beyerdynamic DT990 Pro. - Maybe? I have the DT 880 Good price point, really uncomfortable headphones but could be interesting to try the upgraded version. E-MU - strong contender but $400 is a bad price point for what it is. Which of the above would you choose and why? Nothing else on Drop is relevant to my interests, because Already own 6xx 820 800 s Ether cx Garbage / Consumer grade Meze 99 - garbage bass canons, hard pass No gaming headphones obviously Sennheiser wireless - no to wireless/bluetooth Hifiman - I have 2 of drop hifimans and they make really bad cheap shit on Drop, hard pass on HE-R7DX Aeon - I own the closed, Drop refuses to address #padgate so no reason to buy open Beyerdynamic 177x - wireless, nope Too similar 8x / 560s...

I'm assuming the Fellowship of The HifIMan has somehow gotten lost, or perhaps been ambushed by Orcs in Kent, WA. I hope that Frodo, Aragorn and Boromir; Legolas; Gandalf; Gimli the Dwarf, the son of Glóin; and Frodo's three Hobbit companions are still en-route.
After passing through a Grand Junction in the Rocky Mountains, arriving in the land of Colorado they turned their party southwards to the Great Lake of Salt, and the High Elves of Utah -- wherein they were gifted magical cloaks to aid them.
From the land of Utah and the Lakes of Salt our companions traveled West, evading raiding parties bent on stealing the one headphone to rule them all. After sending runners back along their trail, I learned they had arrived at the small coastal village of Kent, WA.
The weary travelers must have been exhausted after their 12-day trek from lush and green idyllic pastures of Breinigsville, Pennsylvania. The company of hero's has not been heard from now in nearly 9 days after arriving in the sleepy hamlet of Kent. It would have taken 41 hours hours by mechanical horse to traverse this distance according to my mage, Google.
Their plans were to secure passage aboard a merchant vessel, so that they may avoid having to traverse the high Canadian Rocky mountain range. Taking the inside passage along the coast of Canada, I had hoped they would avoid evil men and pirate boarding parties.
Alas, no word of the brave fellowship has been heard for some time, and no new dispatches from the hamlet of Kent have been made for six rising suns. Perhaps a rouge storm has overtaken their vessel, or maybe the Kent itself has been sacked by Orcs?
Hope appears to be fading fast for the race of audiophiles, and with it all dreams of an open-backed future of sonic clarity. I understood that these were circumaural headphones, but I did not realize they had to circumnavigate the globe first to arrive at my Hobbit Hole.
I had a package from INDIA arrive on the 24th that was shipped on the 15th.
Nine days.
Across an ocean.
Through customs, across the entire continent of the USA and to my door in Alaska. Nine days.
And that was sent with "free" EMS shipping.

So they've been in "limbo" for 8 days. Are the still in Kent, WA? At the bottom of the ocean? On someone else's head? Who knows!
