Package arrived beat up and as soon as I pulled them out i noticed something that looked like dust on the right side grill. Thought it was just from a gap in the packaging but its rough to the touch... its either just the paint has peeled during goddamn transit or it has somehow actually rusted. anyone have any idea?

S0h0If it's rust I'm willing to bet the box got soaked and hence the damage. Check for other signs of water damage in the packaging.

S0h0The grills are plastic so if there is rust on it came from somewhere else rather than the grill

AlexPkI did, they told me to contact hifiman for a solution, hifiman wanted me to ship the entire unit back at my assumed cost to do an easy 2 minute part replacement. they said they dont send out replacement parts.
