Just had to stop by and wanted to share that these headphones sound best with some kind of extra power. These headphones are actually 49 Ohms (again, just take my word for it. I don't feel like finding the info again) and sound great with my new OriGen G2 preamp/dac. Although, it's no secret that they are quite harsh otherwise. Highs are still pretty up there, but at least now the bass comes out more and mids are, frankly, amazing. I don't think these'll ever come back, but thought I'd share at least what I discovered.
