Will and Marvey - a question, please. How is the HE-350 sound signature described - is it brighter than the HE-300 model ? Realize these dynamics use different drivers.
Many got best results with HE-300 by doing the simple head-fi mod of removing the thick felt from the cups. As factory stock, HE-300 were overwhelmingly dark, almost unlistenable out of the box for me until modding opened them up to a whole new level, like a much finer headphone.
Does the HE-350 have thick felt inside cups, or a lighter felt, or no felt like the simple head-fi felt-removal mod ?
Is the HE-350 sound signature brighter than HE-300, or is it very dark, like factory-stock HE-300 was ?
Thanks in advance.
PS : Will, Kudos on the Violectric HPA-V181 amp, that's a keeper.
luvmusikDefinitely would not describe these as "overwhelmingly dark", they fall into the neutral category with some brightness in the lower highs.
No terribly thick felt, though there is felt.
Hopefully that helps! Violectric makes some very respectable stuff : )
